omega pops fast, tell your friend to play when people are actually online and not search french only parties.I have an AUS friend who regularly encountered 1.5 hour queue times while trying to progress through Omega normal. I once waited 2.5 hours to get into one of the stormblood Alliance Raids. Even during off-peak hours, that's pretty excessive.
This issue seems to unsurprisingly affect ilevel-cheese prone duties like Normal Raids and Alliance Raids the most, so fixing that may be a reasonable place to start.
To add, enable Join Party In Progress in your Duty Finder settings.
That way you can jump ahead in line when a party needs a member after one had dropped/got kicked while already in a Duty.
I wouldn't worry about content that will end up dying; the Developers will adjust it when that time comes if things start to slow down too much on Servers.
I don't use parsers and I don't think you should expect people to use them as well. Not everyone knows how triggers work.
