Yeah, dancer is a lot of fun. Was BRD main from HW up until I tried DNC :P

Now we just need more primal weapons to try out and I'll be set

See, but from my perspective, because it's not all that complicated a rotation, I can focus more on actually watching fights unfold, general positioning, or (in the case of PvP) not getting my rear handed to me. I'm happiest in an MMORPG when I am constantly on the move - even unnecessarily. I want all frenetic actions to be associated with mobility and not rotation.

Obviously, not everyone feels this way, but bliss for me isn't constantly mashing 16 buttons in absolutely rigid succession - where one mistake blows the entire effort. It's gliding like an angry little fairy across the battlefield, leaving a trail of carefree destruction.

That's perfectly understandable.
All in all, basically why i dislike dancer is the RNG aspect of the job.

I am a huge fan of machinist for pretty much same reasons, tho. There's no RNG involved whatsoever. It may be not as mobile, but still you are free where and when you can move.
It has somewhat simple rotation of 1-2-3, mixed with your 2 OGCDs. Drill/Air Anchor is off the cooldown? Smash that button, preferably with a guaranteed crit proc when it's available. Then there's your hot blast spam mixed in, and that's more or less it.

DNC uses a skill priority instead of a defined rotation which is why I like it so much. But even more importantly they got the RNG balance right unlike Stormblood MCH. Like Tera I love the high mobility.

I'll be honest - I think it didn't help matters much when 95% of the game's guns look ridiculous, with a few (totally outstanding) exceptions. The inevitable result is that almost everyone is using the same 3-4 arms, which gets a little boring.

The guns do look far too bland across the MCH arsenal. My gun has a glamour on it ive used since i got it. I love the big fat gun look it has




If you know of any other good lookers I can source for glams I would appreciate it especially if its glam loot i can target unsynced.

Dancer is a lot of fun. I'm not at all compatible with proc based classes though. As a result, it was a lot of fun to level, less to play at cap.

Enfeebling isn't a thing in this game sadly, so the core mechanic of that job had to be changed to fit the dynamics of FFXIV.

true, they also made it a range dps , also removed its healing abilities and tanking abilities too

Just because a person accepts that you want to do things your way, doesn't mean - by extension - they must mirror those actions. There's an enormous difference between respecting how a person is, and being forced to mirror that.

I'm a guy, I've loved playing female characters since 'the girl' in Secret of Mana two and a hal decades ago (the more feminine the better), and I'm hetero. I don't know why some people think that, in a fake universe, it's somehow deviant of me to be like that. But I respect their right to be uncomfortable about it, so long as they aren't harassing me.
