Why do our crafts take a minute if the duty finder queue is 45 seconds?

Sometimes it's hard to tell if someone is trolling or just really minged. They start out very similar but as they continue it becomes more clear.

Gotta be honest I'm reading the signatures of the other responses in this thread and I'm getting more than a hint of hypocrisy. If your response to legitimate frustration is to jump to bootlicking immediately and downplaying a legitimate problem, maybe it is you who in fact is trolling.

Consider that while you hop around the aetheryte for the 300th time this evening because doing anything else takes too long to finish.

You're causing your own frustration. There's no devastating loss just because you had to interrupt what you were doing when your duty is ready to start. Go back to it once you finish the duty.

Crafting? Most materials are so cheap that losing a few because you had to interrupt the craft for your duty isn't a big deal. Avoid crafting items that use expensive materials while registered for duty, especially if your actual wait time is within 5 minutes of the estimated wait time. If you don't have duty registration details displayed in your duty list, go to UI Settings - HUD and toggle on "Display duty registration details in Timers" so you can see the status.

Beast tribe quests? The only ones with long cutscenes are the story quests unlocked by gaining a new rank. Save those for after you complete your duty. The normal dailies are easily interrupted.

I craft while in queue. I do beast tribes while in queue. I do hunt bills while in queue. I do FATEs while in queue. I do leves while in queue. I gather while in queue. I redecorate housing while I'm in queue. I do side quests while I'm in queue if I haven't already completed them on my character. I chat with FC and friends while in queue. And I don't blow my cool just because my queue finally pops and I need to interrupt whatever I was doing. I just go back to doing them once my duty is finished.

If being interrupted by queue is bothering you that much, I suppose the best advice is don't queue. Stick to doing the other things that seem to be more enjoyable for you since you're more upset they're being interrupted than happy that your duty is available.

You can view cutscenes in "Q" if you join the instance and don't skip the scene it will roll you back to before you started it
