theres actually a rank below bronze and thats the hyphen rank. so the hyphen and bronze area would be throwers, then theres silver. not everyones gonna throw tho, theres gonna be some ppl actually playing for fun but are just badAnd then people who want to climb would simply avoid the mode because they don't want their games thrown, so the majority of people you will get in low elo will be people who will just throw games for fast exp/tomes. Because you would need to get Gold to avoid them, which is a minimum of around 43 wins (if you were to never lose). 43 wins taking into account people throwing games for rewards? Yeah that's not going to work.

If you don't think people who throw games won't have a significant impact on low elo; you clearly did not experience Feast in peak garo.
Bearing in mind coming from someone it won't even affect, because I start every season on 1000/Gold anyway from finishing in Diamond.
Community issue. PvP activity on Light has been excellent because we want it to be active and our ladder reflects this, as do the JP ladders), people on other DCs subconsciously go out of their way to discourage people from playing when they repeatedly tell others to let Feast die. They aren't helping the situation. It does matter because the collars and mount/armor are the rewards from playing ranked and still don't seem to entice many to play on the basis of rewards. The issue is more the mode simply not being enjoyable especially due to the attributes you get in a solo queue ranked pvp arena mode. 3. You can not to have both Feast on Daily Challenge and Rank Matching system active at same time. It only creates chaos and attract a crowd that no body wants. This Daily Challenge will not help Feast but rather further poison it.
4. Never ever trying to use rewards to attract PvE players; it never ends well.
5. Devs are not dumb, there is reason Feast is not on the Daily Challenge and pretty much there is no reason for Rival Wing to be on it either

Also just a lot of people not really thinking Rival Wings is fun. Even when the event is up and so many people had exposure to it, attendance dropped pretty fast while FL numbers were always good during the event and has only steadily improved over the summer. I get some people like it, but even for myself as part of FFXIV's PvP community I don't think it's that amazing even when the match is more ideal in terms of skill/strategy. Hidden Gorge has a lot of room for improvement IMO and I don't think a bigger carrot on the stick is going to be enough to get activity like FL.

attendance dropped fast because ppl got all the rewards they wanted already. in the first week, ppl were queuing all night non stop 4-5 am in the morning unlike frontlines. however daily challenges reward, EXP, is forever. ppl will want exp forever.Also just a lot of people not really thinking Rival Wings is fun. Yeah, for sure, I can definitely see that.
However, there are a lot of people who are able to saturate a mode with repeated playthrough several times a day... Beyond the scope of the daily bonus. A lot of FL monsters at least on Aether and Primal playing game after game after game, often on jobs that don't have need for Wolf Marks and XP. RW honestly doesn't feel like it has as much an audience of this kind of NA, of as many people enthusiastic to enjoy the mode, with people with all the mounts and stuff playing it just because they love it. Revival Wings has to throw everything at it to just get the machine going outside of the event.
Like sure if you give RW a reward that is MSQ Roulette tier you can get more enthusiasm but if it was comparable to FL I doubt it would see as much retention on NA even though it requires fewer numbers to get a game going. Maybe if the FL challenge threw people into there if the numbers are too low for it.
