Oh poor thing you didn't likey. It's ok you don't have too.Eureka a glorified XP grindfest. Anyone saying they like it has no issue with Korean MMO's that have remarkably similar philosophies that kill MMO's in the US within one month of launch. The actual content is behind a huge grindy wall thhat has severe penalties that some like.
As long as the philosophies of Eureka are kept there then I can care less if some masochist in this thread have fun grinding 60 levels in that place chasing NM's but if you ever apply it outside of Eureka I would unsub because that place is torture.
To the people saying "well I see a lot of people there doing it so it cannot be that bad" then I say "well I see 4 times as many people standing AFK in Limsa Lominsa so clearly that content is more fun then Eureka".
There's a big difference between a game as a whole being based around a grind and a portion of a game being focused around a grind. Only Pagos was overly tedious and that was remedied quite quickly.
A lot of people burned themselves out on Eureka because they simply did not pace themselves or recognise that it was a long term project, not something to rush in a matter of days.

The main issue I have with it is that they didn't devise an alternative route. The nerfs help but it's just not the same. At least they're future-proofing the Bozja instance better. There's a big difference between a game as a whole being based around a grind and a portion of a game being focused around a grind. When the game's story becomes self-aware:

Everyone complaining about the exp penalty (which is fair, it ought to be removed by now). But honestly, can't say I've heard anyone in the zones actually getting hit by it very often.
You have the first few levels in Anemos to learn what you can and can't solo. Due to echo, you really gotta be dipping into deep waters to get yourself killed. Learn what you can and can't handle.
Also learn quickly that players still die regardless. Often low levels hanging out with the train, or attempting to join up. This is where you learn that giving a shout usually gets someone to come along to pick you up. Most should also learn that parties are a good idea for similar reasons.
You usually don't see anyone running out the death timer unless they're way out of the way doing who knows what. In which case, that's kinda just a consequence to be prepared for. Maybe some players are trying to do stuff in a low-pop instance. Also something to be mindful of. (also something to demand improvements on)
May be biased, but I wouldn't say losing exp is as widespread as detractors might make it seem.

I didn't enjoy Eureka until Pyros and Hydatos which were better.
Pagos was a nightmare.
