I think it's important to look at Relic weapons as committing time to get something you like, not wasting time getting something you don't like because you feel like you have to.
True, but that's ignoring the fact that when the content was fresh, we had no idea if we'll like the end result. You either placed your bets at Anemos and grinded your chosen relics to Pyros before deciding, or you made a decision each area risking not having an up-to-date relic, having to go back to older areas hoping its active enough.

I took the former path and kept 3 relics up to date. Doing the Hydatos step was little more than a victory lap at that point, so I finished them, even though I only liked one model, and I'm not even using that anymore.

Anyways, that last part was just a quick quip that thankfully I'm not affected by Eurekas issues anymore. An... unforeseen positive side effect of not liking the relic models if you will.

Never hated Eureka. I really disliked Pagos as it was and extremely boring step. Pyros introduced the logograms which made it quite fun and interesting (the map was also good and Bunnies) and then Hydatos was the victory lap with the BA waiting you at the end if you wanted to do a nice and bit hard content.

Now as for the rest of your post. Eureka is fine and needs no more buffs. You can be done with it in a week or two which is quite reasonable.

Could use some improvement, yes, but it's way more engaging than a dungeon or the open world. I even have to use CC at times. Shocking, I know.

    So, no, I like Eureka.

At least for the moment, the current iteration of Eureka is ugly as sin. I don't feel any motivation to labor that hard on something so hideous.

I'd gladly go in again / more if I didn't have to be synced down.

No other relic content requires this.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Eureka a glorified XP grindfest. Anyone saying they like it has no issue with Korean MMO's that have remarkably similar philosophies that kill MMO's in the US within one month of launch. The actual content is behind a huge grindy wall thhat has severe penalties that some like.

As long as the philosophies of Eureka are kept there then I can care less if some masochist in this thread have fun grinding 60 levels in that place chasing NM's but if you ever apply it outside of Eureka I would unsub because that place is torture.

To the people saying "well I see a lot of people there doing it so it cannot be that bad" then I say "well I see 4 times as many people standing AFK in Limsa Lominsa so clearly that content is more fun then Eureka".

You seem to be on a Eureka-themed rampage, so I'll say to you what I said to you in the other thread about Eureka: Your experiences are not universal. I don't play Korean MMOs like that, but I felt the time I spent in Eureka was worth what I got out of it.

You really don't need to keep speaking for everyone on whether they like Eureka or what other things they must clearly enjoy putting up with.

(Also, as a note, the phrase is "I couldn't care less". "I could care less" implies you do care because, well, you could care less. Just saying.)

Yeah. I didn't really like it overall but...I'm certainly not going to try to speak for everyone, nor should they (or anyone really). Some like it, some don't. Such is life.

Now I have said this is one guys opinion. It is a grindfest with heavy penalties for dying. Some people consider that the pinnacle of MMO design and I tend to disagree with that idea. It is just content not designed for my personal taste that is fine as long as it stays isolated to Eureka.

There's a reason those types of MMOs aren't around anymore (penalties for dying). It's not fun gameplay.

De-leveling was NEVER fun in FFXI and it wasn't fun in Eureka.
