Angry Frequent disconnects (90006/90001) from Masamune

Since May 8th I am having increasing problems with disconnects from the game servers for Masamune.

Yesterday it was particularly bad when I had 12 disconnects in 4h20m 'play'. The game becomes really unplayable like this.

I play on PS4, have a fiber connection to the internet. I have tried power-cycling all my equipment, like PS4, network switchs/routers as it is suggested in on of the messages I get from my PS4 at a certain point.

The problem for me only occurs when playing on Masamune and not (yet) when playing an alt character on Cerberus.

Usually the problem starts when activity stops in gameplay, like when flying in an area and you don't see any mobs appearing or attacking a mob and it's health not going down. Then I get either a 90006 or 90001 error and it exits the game to the title screen.
When I press START, two things might happen. Most often I get the 2002 error about the connection to the Lobby server, which forces me to re-login (where the login screen often doesn't load correctly too sometimes with the PS4 WV-33907-2 error, so I have to restart the FFXIV client a few times).
Sometimes when I press the START (after being disconnected), I get to the character select screen and when connecting to the game servers it gives me the 10105 error and returns me to the title screen again.

As I am on PS4 I have very limited abilities to check my network connection from there, but I also stream my game-play to twitch and when the disconnect problem happens, the stream just continues OK. Although it jumps to the jumping PS4 symbols because you entered a blocked scene. And when you are actually returned to the login screen the stream stops (because that seems to be PS4 functionality).

So my conclusion is that this is not a problem with my internet connection.

Please provide some solution to this problem, as I can see on the Forum and on Reddit that there are a increasing number of people having this problem on different servers.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When exactly did this start happening? Do you recall anything changing/updating on your home network that coincides with this?

You mentioned this happening when you were streaming to Twitch, does it still occur when you are not streaming?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

It seems to be totally random when it happens. Yesterday I has 12 disconnects in 4h 20m play, the day before I had no disconnects, today I had only one (and that was right after i logged in (and was not streaming yet). On thing I changed after I logged in today after the disconnect and that was not to change my Party Finder query, as normally I only want to see messages about Hunt Parties every 1 minute. And now I just left it on the default (still every 1 minute).
I will experiment with this setting some more tomorrow.

It started around May 8th, and that could be around the time I started using the Party Finder query.

I have not changed anything in the network in my house.

I experimented some today with turning on/off the advanced search report for the Party Finder and it didn't make any different in the disconnects.
Also I tried playing some time without streaming to twitch and that also did not make any difference.

And the problems seems to have upped again, as I had 15 disconnect in my 5h play today.

Please provide some solution for this problem, because the game is unplayable like this. I am unable to participate in any group content. And it is also not good promotion of the game if twitch viewers see all the disconnects.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to fully rule out an issue with the home connection:

    - Please make sure that "Cookies" and "JavaScript" are ENABLED on the PSN browser. If they are already checked, please uncheck them then recheck them.
    - The issue could also be from the "Date & Time" settings on your PS4.
    1. Close the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.
    2. Go to [SETTINGS] on your PS4
    3. Select [Date and Time], and "Set via Internet". (Please do not manually set the date and time.)
    4. Once the date and time have been updated, please restart your PS4 console.
    5. Once the console has fully restarted, please start the FINAL FANTASY XIV game/application.

Please make sure all other internet-enabled devices (including smartphones, laptop/desktop PCs, tablets, etc.) have been disabled and/or turned OFF to minimize game interference.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy Technical Support Forums.

Checked the time setting and ofcourse it was set to automatic.

Also wrote some bash script checking if all the mentioned ports were open, and they were.

Then disconnected everything in my house from the router and switch and put all wifi devices either in airplane mode or on 4g.

Had a session on my alt character on Masamune and still disconnected 5 times in approximately 1.5 hours of play.

So now it is your turn to check your datacenter, because we seems to have fully ruled out my home connection.

Oh, and also played about 1.5 hours Elderscrolls Online yesterday (from EU to the North American server) without any problems too.

Well, mysteriously the problem seems to not occur anymore. I have been playing now for 3 days without any disconnect. Nothing has changed since my previous testing, so I wonder what changed on the Data Center side?

Ironically my problem seemed to solve itself when all the other people in the EU were getting the launcher problem (which was already part of my problem). And I am even in the area where a lot of problems were reported (The Netherlands), but I never had this launcher problem when others were reporting it.

    Mysteries...
