Could use help picking between Drg, Smn, Dnc, and Rdm

Hiya, so I'm currently trying to pick a dps job to play alongside my Pld tank for when I don't feel like or am unable to tank and having a bit of a time trying to figure out which one would be a best fit. Currently I'm debating between Drg, Smn, Dnc, and Rdm. Basically I'm wanting a dps that is supportive, typically desired/valued/wanted, and somewhat easy to play or at least forgiving when having messed up, or something that is fluid enough that I can easily just go through the flow of it while paying attention to mechanics.

Y'alls advice would be very much appreciated.

I mean, all of those are valued, wanted, and supportive. If you're looking for something easy to play or the most forgiving, then you can't do wrong with RDM or DNC.

i cant say anything about the desired/valued/wanted part because all class you mention are worthy on its own, like RDM has the least support (only 1 i think? but because the instant ress, it can be a godsend if thing went south)

but if you want easy play and somewhat forgiving i say RDM is your best bet. you cant go wrong with RDM because its probably the most basic class from all others.

    my take is probably this...

    - RDM = easiest and most forgiving
    - DRG = rotation is fixed and easy
    - DNC = this one depend on your reflex, are you good at proc? because this class is all about proc and RNG. most supportive class compare to others 4 but the lowest dps compare to other 4
    - SMN = cant say much about this because i dont play this class, but its still one of the highest dps class

DNC and RDM has lots of support.
DRG and SMN have a token skill or two.

    DNC is always in demand.
RDMs were being straight up turned away when people were recruiting for Alexander (Ultimate), and when my friend brings one to a raid people sometimes ask if he plays any other casters.

Honestly though, you'll probably end up at least trying out most of those lol, so just have fun.

If you want to not have to worry about casting go dnc
if you would like a bit more meat in exchange of the complete freedom pick drg
if you like magic casters but dont know where to start pick rdm to learn the basics
If you already know the basics, like casters in general, and feel like wanting to challenge yourself pick smn.

Imo the caster role has the best roster due to being the least affected after SE threw ACCESSIBILITY all over the jobs design and made them MORE ACCESSIBLE. I think drg is the best option for you , but if you want to change it a bit by playing range id suggest rdm . Smn isnt beginner friendly or easy and Dnc even though its asked way more than rdm reqcuires you to know other players rotation in order to plan your buffs efficiently and compared to rdm it will be harder to do .

Now if youll excuse im gonna go clean my toilet my 3 cats made it ACCESSIBLE

DRG : Fixed Rotation But - OGCD Heavy- Difficult Positionals (Loses 16% Per Hit Missed)- Subpar Damage and Mobility - Long Animation Locks Doesn't Perform Well in Ranged Comps. Easy Combo, Difficulty in Linearity and Cool-down Management.
Clunky Single Target Buff must target ally, and Critical Rating 10% Buff to group in 15y radius.

SMN : Crazy Broken Right Now , Not the Most Difficult Right now , Has Raise, Most Mobile Caster.
10% Flat Damage Increase From Devotion.

DNC : Decent Support, Proc Based, Simple, Lowest APM. Avoid if you hate RNG.
Heavily Support Oreinted, Lacks Personal Damage and relies heavily on partner.

RDM : Great Upfront Damage, Melee : Magic Hybrid, Weird Required Back-flips, Sometimes behind Hybrid Magic > Melee creates strange interactions in the fights, Only Supports Melee and themselves.
Deals Great Up Front Damage, But Lacks Dots.

Sounds like you want RDM or DNC then.

DRG and SMN are valued for their high DPS, but they're not as supportive, forgiving, or fluid as RDM or DNC. (SMN is actually a little overwhelming in my opinion with all the management of DoTs, Pets, Procs, GCD clipping, perfectly timing Deathflare, etc.)

RDM's claim to fame is largely its ability to churn out instant Verraises multiple times in a row, which is great for casual play but less valued in high-end content (where most groups would rather just wipe than carry someone who has the rez debuff).
If you want to do Savage and Extreme content, you may want DNC instead, since its claim to fame is strong DPS buffs and personal AoE. Procs shouldn't be too difficult to manage if you enjoy whack-a-mole.

Woops MB, ya 5%! It's great though because it's flat. With Litany people have to make sure to be in range and then you pray for criticals.
