I'm curious how the Scions will appear when they get back to their bodies. Will Thancred have his old haircut and outfit? Because they have been training in the first will their bodies be stronger? I'm need to know!!

I'm not sure how to account for spoilers here, so I will be careful what I write in response.
You are the only one who went to the First whole.

Think SAO in terms of the Scions going to the first. Their bodies are in a vegetative state, getting nothing but the memories of the First
IF that even really works out lol... but it really makes you wonder, will they keep their new jobs or go back, or even get smt new as a teaser for 6.0......
Their bodies will remain the same though they might change into their new outfits once they get back with some handwaving about having Tataru making them replicas upon request. Technically speaking any aging they did over there will be reverted as well as their physical bodies on the Source have only been in stasis for at most a month due to time bubble shenanigans. Really wish SE would just commit to timeline progression.
Than red will be back to being called an old man by lovely women again. xD
And I kind of hope Alasie and Alphanud accidentally get put in each other's bodies for some temporary hilarious moments. x'D
they most probably will get atrophied due to coma for too long... .-.
but of course will get instantly healed by Urianger and Y'shtola expertise on aether or just call some healer to cast esuna to remove the paralysis or something... :3

my take is they probably back to their "eorzea" body state but will keep their "SHB" mental state. so physically they will be back to pre "transfer" but their mental/mind state is still up to date to current event.
i mean its kinda convenient at this point, when SHB story is done and expansion is announced (among with new class), if the scion really make it back to their bodies then yoshi could just slap the new class to the scions under context that the scions has learn a lot of things over there and they decide "class up" their old body, and later portray them in full glory in CG trailer in the future.
i can see it, CG start with the scions waking up one by one then as time move on we see each scions start training their body back and glamoring new clothes and new class.
I am more curious about Ryne. I have leveled her to 80 with my other Trust members. Will that progress get lost? Or are we able to take her with us to the Source and keep her in our team? Or does she stay in the First but we can still use her after we finish the story of 6.0 as a gameplay > lore thing to run the new dungeons with her?
The levelling Trusts aren't the real characters though - they're "avatars" separate to the actual characters who are already at Lv80 and accompanied you into the post-MSQ dungeons.I am more curious about Ryne. I'm not expecting Ryne to come back with us at all. She's not in the same situation as the rest of the Scions, and the Eden storyline seems to be about her maturing and finding independence.
