how does one use blue mage?

There is a wall of text above me that probably explains this but I know what formatting is good for.

No you cannot learn blue magic while not on the job, I'm not sure who told you this but they are lying.
You can queue for dungeons using PF, you just cannot take randoms with you. As such you'll either need a premade party of 4, or you undersize it so you aren't attempting to pull random players in.

The grind isn't actually all that much of a grind. Actual job levels can be done in an hour or two, and the skills are all combat earned so it's a little more exciting than some other classes.

It will probably never be a not-limited job, so to speak. There's been no lightening on restrictions, and probably never will be. But honestly other than the level cap, this only limits you from doing a small amount of content. Deep Dungeons, and PvP. I can't think of anything else BLU can't do. In fact, doing some old endgame raids is really fun and refreshing as BLU, it gets you the morbol mount if you can complete them all so there's some fun and interesting endgame fights ready for you with some nice titles and mounts as rewards.

while blue mage is a fun consent is it worth the grind when it use is so limited?

Every time I'm running fates with my FC mate and his BLU skillz trivialize the content we all get a good laugh.
Not to mention that doing content with a squad of BLU is cool and fun.

Also, I heard that if you self destruct beneath the lamp post in Kugane, someone on top can cast revive and bring you to the sightseeing spot.

Ive been paid to res people up to that lamp post before. The fun way to get there is to climb to the top of the peg tower(get that sightseeing log while youre there), aim just right, and jump.

Every time I'm running fates with my FC mate and his BLU skillz trivialize the content we all get a good laugh.

Any time I travel through CWH, and The Eyes FATE is up, I'll throw a few Missiles at it to spawn all the adds all at once and then leave. Just amuses me seeing the whole army in place.

But yeah. Outside of instanced content, that's about the most fun to be had, finding things to break. That FATE in particular is fun for being one most players quickly learn is not something you can solo, and even small groups struggle. But BLU says "I got this."

For instanced content you can get 100% learning rate. You go in synced(doesnt matter what party make up is), make sure the target uses the spell, and be alive when it dies. If you kill the target early or arent alive at the end, you get 0% learning rate. If you go unsynced the learning rate is reduced a good amount. Leads to some tough decisions between a guaranteed spell and a tough fight, or an easy fight you might do a dozen or more times. Glass dance was one i had to do around 10 times unsynced before learning the spell(the same party tried it synced 3 or 4 times and never got far enough into the script for her to use it).

Thread number 1:
22 freaking pages , people saying that they are not broken and that they are weak , and thus shouldnt be limited.
people also complaining about limited status in the first place, the job is called garbage and a mistake and people are mad that they cant take it in newer content.
