Literally every color on the screen you're looking at now is made by mixing red, green, and blue. If you look at a color wheel, the majority are shades of red, green, and blue. The human eye prefers red, green, and blue. How many shades of purple do you think there are and how many do we need? And why did you pick purple out of the list of colors and not yellow?
well yellow has like almost an entire 2 blocks for oneLiterally every color on the screen you're looking at now is made by mixing red, green, and blue. Not including metallic colors, purple and yellow have the same amount of dyes. I'm not sure where your "almost an entire 2 blocks" is coming from. Also, royal purple and dark purple are already in the game.well yellow has like almost an entire 2 blocks for one

I don't disagree that there should be more shades of purple for us to choose from, but I was saying that there's a reason why there's a lot more red, green, and blue.

Purple is a combination of Red and Blue, so it's quite pleasing to the eye, and there's hardly any shades of purple compared to other colours. Red, yellow and blue. Green is not a primary color.Literally every color on the screen you're looking at now is made by mixing red, green, and blue. Green is not a primary color. But we're not painting. Literally everything electronic uses red, green, and blue to make colors.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RGB_color_modelThe main purpose of the RGB color model is for the sensing, representation, and display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers, though it has also been used in conventional photography. Before the electronic age, the RGB color model already had a solid theory behind it, based in human perception of colors.
The first is incorrect, at least in the context of the second statement. Cyan, magenta and yellow are primary paint colours since you can create all colours out of them. You cannot create all colours out of red, yellow and blue pigment. The only contex where red, yellow and blue are primary colours is in the kindergarten introduced colour wheel which is mostly just a social construct rather than a useful tool. This is a good video explaining it:
