One of my trusted FC members got Hacked and now all our FC gil is gone

A member of our FC was hacked by another user, and now all of our gil, 50mil is gone.
Our Free Company name is Knights of Astora, our tag is Sun.
I did try to stop them when I figured something was happening. But they still managed to take it all.

It's unfortunate that it happened but I'd suggest editing your post to remove the character name as the rules for naming and shaming are pretty tightly enforced around these parts.

Oh no, I'm sorry. D: I really feel for your FC. Unfortunately, I don't think SE will take any action other than maybe if the phishing attempt happened in game (I have seen some take the form of fake links to the 'forums' posted in shout chat) and they can connect that to the hacking of your FC mate's account. The issue where someone joins the FC and takes everything only to leave after is not against the terms of service, much as it sucks. I hope you can get their account banned for the phishing/hacking somehow, and your friend is able to get their account back. I don't think you will get the gil and items back, unfortunately. I'm so sorry.

That sucks, on the brightside your member has learned a valuable lesson to not copy and pasta random links posted u game into your browser then proceed to enter in their login information.

I'm so sorry. I think I've heard that SE doesn't give back gil that's been stolen from FC, but maybe they might in your case since there was hacking involved.

I recommend that everyone uses the one time token app, it's free and adds an extra level of safety to your account.

This is the best advice out there. Never go without having a token on your account. AmanApp, I'm very sorry to hear what happened to your FC. I've had the same thing happen before in another game. I'm sick of people getting away with stuff like that.

Why in the world didn't they have a security token activated? That literally makes no sense, its free and you get a free teleport for having one.

The phishing websites actually demand your OTP as well, so a security token isn't necessarily going to protect someone gullible enough to go there in the first place.
