How Glamour Plates can be

Guess would be nice to as stated, some free* slots as they are nowdays but add a locked plate slot per job if they could actually increase plate capacity

It could work just increasing the number of plates (25 total maybe) and add per plate a list of all your unlocked jobs with a toggle checkbox so, when you change to that job (and are on a plate changing capable area) triggers that glamour plate as default for that job (obviously being just being abble a job to be checked on one plate)

I don't know if it would even be possible, but would it help if you had to unlock more plates and slots in the dresser first?

Like with every job you unlock, you get one more plate. And you could do a simple quest to unlock more plates or slots. Maybe gate it behind the expansions, so you can get more slots when you reach Ishgard, then more in Kugane, then more in the Crystarium.

The more jobs you play, the more plates and slots you need, and the farther you are in the game the more glamour options you have, so to not strain the server too much, you don't have all those slots by default, but can unlock them when you need them.

But would that even work? Does it even matter for the server if you have more plates/slots unlocked or not?

My wishlist for the glam chest:
- As many glam plates as we have gearsets
- Be able to change glams anywhere not just cities (even in combat)
- Ability to macro glam plates
- glam dresser furnishing for housing

As for the server load perhaps they could split the plates into “pages” so it only has to load like 10 plates per “page” at a time. So then you could have, say, a “tank page” with plates for your tanks and when you play as your tanks you’d just have the tank page loaded then when you want to switch to healer you’d go to your glam plates (could also maybe make it a macro/text command) and switch to your “healer page” and it would only have to load the 10 plates on that page.

tbh i just want 1 for each job + 1 for gather /1 for craft and extra 3-4 for special occasion glamors

Yeah would be nice to have some plates per jobs.
I usually have the same gear on all my 3 healers but would love to have them look different.

Perhaps instead of having to load ever more plates, there could be some capacity to have "active plates" and "archived plates" that don't need to be loaded every time? I have a number of plates I'm not using currently but it's still annoying to disassemble them, especially if they have dyes and I can't set them up again without leaving the inn room to go shopping.

It seems like it could help in theory, although on the other hand there is no ability to rearrange the existing plates so it might not be able to manage them like that.

Just give us 1 plate for every Class. Fighting Classes, Crafter and gatherer. So 29 plates would be enough. To switch the plate for your Class if u want another look is not the ptoblem. But everytime i want to create a glam i have to delete one plate of another class and its pretty annoying tbh D: I even pay for more glam plates! Pleas SE do me this favor. I pump you full of my money if you do! I Swear!
