How to lock a thread on these forums?

Hello there, my guild Crescentia has been trying to lock our guild recruitment thread for about a week now. Due to the owner of the thread no longer being a part of the guild we are looking for the current one to either be locked or taken down so we can start a new one.

We've tried reporting the post multiple times, including the owner of the thread, however we have yet to receive an answer. What is the best way to go about this? Is it possible to transfer the thread owner to someone else by any chance?

Threads rarely get locked or taken down, so your best option is to just post a new one.

Only time I've ever seen a thread get taken down is if it's overtly inflammatory. Like, racist, sexist or homophobic. And even then it's up for days. I honestly don't know if there's any CMs on these forums.

Sucks but the only way to "lock" a thread is to get it deleted and you can't delete your own thread. Completely stupid I know.

The only way to get around it is to self report your own thread and request in the comment section for it to be removed.

Ah, well that sucks. I guess we'll just delete the contents of the original thread and make a new one then? So far all our attempts at contacting a GM have been futile :/

One day I truly hope they revamp the forums. We're missing so many features and options that most any other gaming forum comes with by default - like seriously, why are we not able to delete our own threads? Or change our forum name at all? Why do we have an arbitrary character limit that most people just work around via editing?

Bit of a tangent to the original thread, but stuff like this just tends to remind me of how poor this forum is in comparison to others, as far as user interface and tools go.
