A personal progress bar would be best like with the Doman Enclave Restoration. Ishgard Restoration is the same as the current yellow and white scrip turn ins. I understand it supposed to simulate progress with the community, but why copy scrip turn ins? Its really boring to go out and gather thousands of materials on limited inventory space just to mindlessly craft the same item over and over again. The Devs did nothing to make the gameplay fun. We already have collectible crafting. They added a bazooka to gathering which is fun why not add a bazooka to crafting? I want to blow open mines and trees to gather. I want my crafting table to explode in a chain reaction of completed items without having to start over again on the same recipe. The whole gathering thing with diadem is pointless. What difference does it make if we gather in diadem vs Eorzea?

The whole experience sounded great on paper, but without taking any risks for something new they just reused all the assets and slapped a NEW sticker on it. So far for both seasons it’s gather, craft, turn in and fate. Season 3 probably will be the same. Rewards will probably be the same useless things. A mount most of us will never use and a pet that will never be summoned after its first initial summon. Slapped on with more materia to the piles of thousands collecting dust in my retainers inventory.

Make crafting faster more enjoyable instead of the same button routine. Add limit breaks to crafting that rarely appear. Maybe add a DDR button mash game to the crafting or an actual cooking/crafting simulation.

It’s great that the Devs revamping crafting to make it less boring, but they could simplify it more with less buttons to keep track of. Let the players level/gear judge the items progress and that way all the progress buttons can go away. We can’t make the items anyway if we aren’t high enough level or have a high enough gear stats. Quality should be the only focus.
