Had a friend I played with back in 2013 rejoin shortly after I rejoined. He joined a month or so after me, but thanks to him getting road to 70 he's well beyond me on job levels. It's quirky and could be seen as unfair timing but we just laugh about it. What can you do.

How many "Wanted Classes" are you trying to level that 90 days isn't enough?
If you really want to level these classes you can do so without the exp buff, saying you can't be bothered means you don't really want to.

Grinding out exp in this game is a joke, and it's only boring if you are a high level and you get low level duties in Roulette that lock you out of your good and fun Actions.

You most definitely heard wrong on that one, my dude.

The Road to 70 buff doubles all exp gained and lasts for 90 days after a character has been created, and then is taken away from the character forever. After 90 days have passed, I can't be bothered to level any class anymore, however I want to.
Sounds like a personal problem to me, tbh. If you really want the Road to 70 buff that badly, you can always pay $18 USD to go to another preferred world.

That being said, I don't understand why the buff is taken away after 90 days, which is not enough to level up all wanted classes to max level, and I suggest that everyone gets the buff, and it lasts forever. Players will lose nothing of value if everyone gets the buff. Doing this will make the already painful leveling experience a lot faster.
Because this game vomits EXP at its players? Having 1 job to level 80 gives you an armory bonus for all your other jobs. There's FC buffs for EXP + Food buffs for another +3%. The Roulettes give a crap ton of experience alone just doing them once a day. Leveling in this game isn't hard after you finish the MSQ.

Blizzard destroyed their own golden egg World of Warcraft when they bend over to the people that dont even care about the game. I certainly do not want to see that happens in FF14

Road to 70 buff is bad - it should be removed completely.

It completely messes up the leveling pace, leading to one of three possibilities:
    1) Character outlevels everything by a lot very quickly, but won't have gear matching their level
    2) Lots of content is skipped. Doing all content on-level adds quite a bit to the understanding of the world.
    3) Player uses multiple jobs to distribute the XP among to avoid overleveling. New players won't know how or when to do this.

There is no rush to reach max-level. The journey there is 98% of the game. Why people are in a hurry to not play the game escapes me. Might as well add an "I win!" button that takes you directly to the end credits.

Hello, welcome to the forums *waves*

So the reason many people clamour for faster experience in WoW is because every expansion Blizzard destroys all the old systems and builds completely new ones solely for that expansion. And to play the actual game you first have to hit max level so you can grind those systems daily for 2 years in order to mythic + and endgame raid :P Because of this focus only on endgame content they're shortening the leveling process significantly in the new expansion.

Also because in WoW you need to have about 20 alts to play different classes on different factions in different realms.

In FFXIV it's completely different. With WoW the endgame only content is most of the current game but for FFXIV the game doesn't start at endgame and there is so much to do while leveling And the number of Alts needed is drastically reduced.

I always try and tell people to enjoy the journey, it's a relaxing one

Yeah Rae88, those are good points.
And I forget how different levelling NEEDS to be when you have to build a new character for each class vs. what FF14 does.

I want to say no but dps qs are a bit well nightmarish and I do think dps should get a little more for that reason

I feel like the buff would be better served if applied to everyone within the timeframe between when xpac preorders happens and the launch of said xpac. Fulfilling the role of various accessories that were created for a simialr purpose.

Course it doens't solve the matter of outlevleing the content, but for that I'd recommend a prompt that reminds them that players can swithc to another class if they want to avoid overleveling

Oh that's just healer design & tanks being not well received this expansion that there's a lack of healers who want to queue for the duty finder - hence the long DPS queue times.
