Considering that is what someone told me who actually has the title, that no amount of knowledge, no amount of practice, can help you if pomanders do not drop, if treasure rooms are exits too many times, they straight up said they had to mulligan a run on floor 184 because they had spent 30 mins on the 1st 3 floors due to poor rng and had no hope of getting to and killing a boss, do also bear in mind I had forgotten another rng element that they reminded me about, number of monsters needed to proceed to next floor is random.

So yes you NEED a certain amount of luck thus earning that title comes down to luck, no amount of skill can compensate having too much bad luck. Skill can only get you so far, you need plenty for it but it is not the only deciding factor.

Yes luck helps but it isn't pure luck that gets a clear. That was my point and I am done batting this garbage back and forth.

I admire anyone who actually got the pteranodon legitimately because the sheer amount of bots in Diadem suggests that many don't have the patience for manual grinding.

you can bot the crafting too, just get back from your tv break every few hours to deliver all the items unless someone has made a bot program for that too.

Why though? It's not as good as doing manually and getting max collectibility reliably. Can you even with macros? I am working towards this mount and have not resorted to botting. I hate that stuff.

There are reliable minimum collectability macros and it's entirely feasible to get all of the achievements with a quantity > quality approach.

It doesn't help that many botters are already filthy rich and can afford to mass purchase mats off the MB if they still need more after their lengthy gathering sessions.

Yeah anyone who botted the gathering part most likely botted the crafting part as well, and I haven't seen any legit hands of creation/divine providers yet on my server, let alone pteranodons. I honestly think I might be the only legit pteranodon on my datacenter sometimes.....

And speaking of rare minions, what is up with the dulia-chai minion? It is not even possible to get it until July 24th when the book is released, yet some people have had it for months now. Drives me nuts because I pre-ordered that book way back when it was first announced and definitely should have gotten a first printing if there was one that ran out. Was there a con or something that people went to that gave it out early or something?

I think Japan/Asia got the book out early in May if I am not wrong.

jp square enix store released it at the end of march. so those people that ordered from there had it before mid-april and all the covid stuff really hit.

As far as mounts go, I wonder how many players have the Legacy Chocobo and original Gobbue mounts, as those are both completely unattainable and were only available to 1.0 players who transferred their 1.0 character into ARR, and the means to get them when FFXIV 1.0 was running was only available for a short time years ago (Legacy Chocobo required Legacy Membership attainment when FFXIV 1.0's fees became payable and the 1.0 Gobbue needed to be gained from the Wandering Minstrel within FFXIV 1.0 for a short time in early 2012).

Not a whole lot, I'd wager.
