I'll just leave this link here so you can look up the rarest mounts, minions, titles and achievements within the game: https://lalachievements.com/en/rarity/title/global/

In regards to Event Items: Either you've got them during the event or you didnt. If you didnt, you might be able to buy them on the mogstation (thus, they're really not "rare" or any kind of achievement) or you cant (in which case you cant really aim to get them - you can only wait for them to be added to the mogstation... which is going to make them less rare again).

In regards to Glamours... what do you even mean by that? Single pieces that are difficult to obtain? New combinations no ones daring to try?

In general my personal advice to you would be to set your own goals and dont base them purely on rarity or even the advice of strangers (myself included here). Some of the rarest items might involve content that might not be enjoyable to you - Eureka, PvP, Bluemage, Ultimate Raids, Solo PotD, Hardcore-Endgame Crafting, Hunts...
Personally I'd make something I enjoy my "endgame" focus and after that look up goals that I can achieve within this content of my choice - for example: I enjoy crafting, so getting this Pteradon is a good goal for myself. Not only, or even mainly, because its rare but because its something I can achieve within the content I enjoy. On the other hand I strongly dislike anything Bluemage-related - so I'll probably never get the Morbol. But even though thats a rare mount and would be perfect for "showing" off, I'm not prepared to do something I dont enjoy.

So... figure out what you enjoy, see what kind of goals you can set for yourself and go for it?
And if its really only rarity you seek: Give that website a try, thats gonna give you a good idea what you should aim for if you mainly want to get your hands on something other people dont have.

First let me say, thanks for the link!

Secondly, I'm kind of on a down tick when it comes to playing FFXIV lately. I just log in to do my AH stuff and x-breeding. So, I kind of did all the things I "Enjoy" to death and thought well maybe if I knew what was rare it would help get me out of my "normal" game play and try out different aspects of the game.

One of my goals is to actual fish up the rainbow fish, not just buy in on the AH but mark it off my “Fishing Log”.

    Thanks for the advice.

If you're more looking for "something to do", just looking at "What is rare?" might not always be the best way to go about it - for example the emotes you listed arent rare because they're difficult to obatin ingame, but because they cost real money (and I suppose those that arent directly on the mogstation but are tied to physical merch like the figurines are also difficult to obtain... but not ingame, so work towards those isnt something you can do while playing FFXIV). Certain other things are also rare because they basically involve heavy RNG, but dont generate much playtime (aka: you can get the Peregrine Helm from Quick Explorations, but all that involves is sending your retainer on a quick exploration...) or they simply cant be obtain anymore (the Dalamud Horn, for example).

May I ask if Eric is your main (and maybe only) character? Or is he an alt that you created because you actually farmed all EX-primal mounts, got every job to 80, are an expert crafter and collected all those low-hanging minions?
If he is indeed your main, you're lucky! There is still so much you can - like leveling other battle jobs, trying something new, like healing or casting, that you may or may not like; farming mounts that might not be quite that rare, but are at least achieveable - or going for the rare stuff after all, now that you made your list.
Just keep in mind that this list isnt so much a reflection of "What is keeping people busy longterm?" but also includes things that are rare for reasons that dont involve actually playing the game or achieving something within it. Looking at rare items can be a first step to figure out what the game still has to offer to you, sure! But if you're just looking for something to do, one might be able to give better advice in which direction to look - without sending you on the quest for some dinosaur-mounts or emotes that will cost you 140€ but come with a free statue!

    Hey Vidu.

Yes, Eric Is my main but I have 7 other alts, I'm one of those Alt happy fools. They all have their own unique name with their own unique play style. One is range DPS, one is Magic, one is Healing only, etc.. all RP names, look, and feel. Eric would never use a bow for example, and my healers will never ware heavy armor stuff like that.

As to crafting my wife has the 80 all, I don’t see a need for two omni crafters in the fam. We have 3 80 all gatherers’ (Eric is not a gatherer). As to minions I couldn’t care less about collecting them all, some of the “Rare” one’s may be cool but I have no interested in collecting them all just to have them all.

We are kind of in the process of farming all the Ex-trial mounts but that’s something we do as a group once a week or two very slow going. It’s a family thing I like to get mine last so that the wife, kid, friends can get them first. I could grind them by myself but that doesn’t feel right.

I don’t mind the “Grind” aspect of rare items. All of my alts, except one she’s just finished HS, finished all the MSQ. I cannot think of more of a grind then to finish the whole MSQ 6 times.

To the title/mounts/achievements you “Can not get” I agree there are going to be some, the one’s you mentioned that can never be gotten due to what ever reason, but the fact that I have a list that I can check I’ll just keep going down the list until I can find the one that I can get. The internet “link” to the rare items was huge, and I thank you and Morningstar1337 very much for the links.

One last thing, thank you for taking the time to respond, its very thoughtful. *bow*

Ah, I see! While there is obviously nothing wrong with this kind of playstyle, it does prevent you from taking on some of the... juicier grinds (specially certain grinds that you basically need to solo, which would seem ideal for you to have as an addition to the family-stuff!) - so just to mention them in order to give you an idea so you can decide if (and how much) you're willing to compromisse:

    - Astrope (two-seater giant-pegasus-mount) can be earned by completing 2.000 mentor-roulettes - that requires that you have your mentor-status, though. Which in turn requires that you complete all 4 role-quests in Shadowbringers (tank, healer, physical-dps, magic-dps)
    - Amaro (Mount) - needs all jobs at level 80
    - Pteranodon - Already discussed a bit here, but you'll need all crafters and gatheres at level 80. Leveling them is quick and easy enough, though! And while there usually isnt a strict need to have multiple omnicrafters in the family, this mount (aswell as several titles and some minions) can only be earned by the character doing the crafting

Some things that require less or no compromisse (some have already been mentioned, some might be on your list):
    - Fishing: There is tones of stuff that involves fishing. Completing the fishing-log is the most obvious one, but that includes catching the (in)famous "Big Fish" and that can keep you busy for quite a while! There is also a special quest (rewards a title), aswell as the whole Ocean Fishing thing (Mount, minion, several titles)
    - PotD/HoH: - if you go solo, you might want to consider a job that isnt dragoon, but one with better self-heals. RDM and to a lesser extend PLD are some of the best picks here. Maybe you have either of those leveled on an alt?
    - Sightseeing logs: Those might not keep you busy for months, specially not if you do them with a guide, but they include some tricky jumping-puzzles. If you do the ARR-one without a guide, it could even take you a while to solve the riddles... (I would advice you to at least confirm wether or not your answer is correct before attempting the spot, though - sometimes the time-window is pretty short or spots are only available every two real weeks...)
    - Collecting all Triple Triad cards - nothing you can actually "show off", but some of them include nice little lore-bits (I'd recommend using a site like https://arrtripletriad.com/ to keep track of the cards you have)
    - you can do something similar with Orchestrion-rolls - there are quite a few of them to collect, scattered all over the place! From being bought with gil or MGP, to being drops from dungeons, raids or trials... make it a rule for yourself not to buy them off the marketboard, pick the one you want to farm next and get to it!
    - Going for a relic - if you havent done that already! And I dont mean the Shadowbringers-one (which you should get anyways), but the ARR and HW relics - aswell as SB, if you want to give Eureka a try (full disclosure: I have NO idea how feasible Eureka is atm - it might be dead enough that you dont really stand a chance)
    - Hunts - you can always join a Hunt-LS, go on hunt-trains, maybe get that sweet, sweet tiger one day...
    - on characters that have a tank leveled, you can go for the specific tank-mounts
    - You dont seem to be into PvP; seeing how you excluded that from your list, but for completion-sake: There are several mounts, titles and other items (glamour, orchestrion-scrolls, housing-stuff) locked behind frontline-PvP. You dont need to compete in the actual PvP-liga, just join the fun chaos thats up to 72 people on one map, trying to kill each other!

For most people endgame (besides glamour being the true endgame) will usually be Savage or even Ultimate raiding - you can always dabble with that and see if its for you!

Any of the ornate armors sets are pretty rare. You need luck with the Wondrous Tails to get them and they seldom end up on the MB. They also look identical to their crafted, lesser ranked armor so it's not something you can really show off.

A massive population of the players has houses, it's not rare in the slightest.
