I do feel like people could go on and on about why they could or could not work in a game setting here, and never come to a conclusion. Could we eventually get them, sure, I feel like once they eventually run out of ideas I don't see why not. But I don't feel like it's that late in the game that they need to appease the western 15-35 male playerbase yet. Necromancy is usually kept out of eastern games, so I don't know if I would put money on them bringing it in for the WoL to be the hero through the main story on something that is so frowned upon in the open world. This is where I know you will argue the other jobs, but those jobs aren't even talked about in any form outside their own quests. It's not like they have a random npc out in the middle of lets say Costa Del Sol with some undying hatred for Warriors or Black Mages, where the disdain for Necromancy/Blood Magic can be found throughout the world.

Not to mention the hopes they would have to jump through for the Chinese servers.

Nah, it was Renda-Rae joking about paying a necromancer to resurrect her friends so she could kill them herself. From what I've seen, outside of Gelmorran instances like PotD, most of 14 doesn't really discuss necromancy or attitudes on it, at least not separately from Black Magic or the general concept of ritualistic sacrifice.

That largely depends on what kind of undead they use, but we already have Ashkin as enemies in the main game (many of which just use regular humanoid models). As long as Necromancers aren't summoning skeletons (where ghosts are a viable alternative) and throwing actual bones, I don't think that's as big of a problem as it's being made out to be. Particularly since unless the job does a massive amount of summoning (which would only be necessary as a DPS job), it wouldn't be too visually different from most other dark caster enemies.

But as for ashkin and summoning, massive or otherwise, they already don't like having pet classes. Maybe y'all could get a cute limited type class for it.

There are already Skeletons in the game as is. Just reskin the Necromancer minions on the chinese side like they do current skeletons already (With whatever they do).

People keep talking about Necromancer being looked down so much, I have legit not seen this. I've seen it brought up a couple times in not a bad way? The Thau questline mentions it, not bad or good, just "We should use this". People have mentioned Necromancer being used for evil, but I have yet to listen to anyone go off on how terrible Necromancer is, which I've seen in other games.

I agree; there's enough variety in how the undead look in this game for it not to constitute a huge issue. Otherwise, they can just implement some manner of darkness wielding spiritualist in another shape or form.
