New Job Necromancer

This is exactly how I would think things would go in game. Lore wise the other classes that are being compared to necromancer are just looked down on because of things like calamities caused by the misuse of the job. Black Mage quest has a conjuror coming to terms with not all black mages are destruction hungry etc. That is a huge difference in them making someone that deals with the resurrection of corpses in a hero spotlight.

I agree. There's the whole "desecrating the dead" thing going on that I'm pretty sure isn't kosher in any part of Eorzea. I think Edda and PotD have proven that necromancy is indeed a thing, but it's outlawed and viewed far more harshly than even Black Mage, from what I can tell. Personally, I think Necromancy is pretty fun in games, but I don't see how we could get over several speed bumps and allow it to be played, lore wise. If it happens, then it happens. Although I think something else is more likely to happen first.

Necromancy is a Western based theme. It is highly taboo in eastern talks and philosophy.

If this was a western based game sure, but its not so highly unlikely necromancy of any kind will be added in the game.

Besides necromancy healing will be inferior to the other healing methods. Just look at ESO for example with their necromancer.

I mean, it's not like the devs are restricted by what other games have done with the concept. They could make a necromancer healer the strongest in the game if they wanted to.

They would have to add a necromancer in general to the game first

renda rae, potd and the thaumaturge guild all point to a necromancer job being possible. i just hope if its implemented that it is done as well as the other "outcast" jobs.

There's also the capstone quests you can do if you finish all of the ARR beast tribes. There you also fight a literal necromancer.
