    White outlines only when still

I'm not sure when it started and at first i tried to ignore it but every time i stand still i get this white outline around everything like grass, paths and buildings, it even brightens these areas and the moment i move or turn the camera it all returns to normal till i stop. I tried to change settings in game and even another monitor but nothing fixes it.

    Running
    Intel Core i7-9700K CPU 3.60GHz
    16GB Ram
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
    Asus PRIME Z390-A

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Are you able to provide a screenshot of the issue you are describing? Additionally could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Thank you for the reply Brahms22.

Based on the video you provided, it looks like what you're describing is aliasing. There is an anti-aliasing option in the Graphics Settings that can be turned on if it is not already.

You mention that the screenshot is showing another issue, what exactly do you mean by this?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I have anti-aliasing turned on already and i even turned it on in the graphics driver settings as well.

As for the screenshot when i enlarged it on my end i got white lines running both vertical and horizontal which i don't see in game, so that might just be an issue on my end.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Have any changes happened to the device before the issue began? We would also like to recommend several other troubleshooting steps:

    1) Disable any additional programs that could cause interference with the game itself including chat programs. Also, remove any custom configurations made using graphics driver-level programs.
    2) Turn off Fullscreen Optimizations. Find the executable file for the game (normally found in the install folder), right-click it and select 'Properties'. Under the 'Compatibility' tab, check the box labeled 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations', then click 'Apply'.
    3) Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card
    4) Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Hi Rhaervis,

Sorry for the late reply work got in the way of trying what you suggested, after trying it all it's still just as bad.

I have slowly upgraded my GPU, CPU, motherboard and ram since the start of the year but i've tried to ignore it so long i can't remember if it was there before the upgrades or not. The GPU came OC and reverting it back to stock settings didn't change anything.

Thank you for the reply Brahms22.

Having Anti-aliasing on may not get rid of it completely. However, if you are trying to describe something else, we are having difficulty seeing it. If you are able to provide a screenshot or video that more accurately describes the issue, please do so.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
