Question on a certain NM and acertain FATE boss

Okay, so IIRC ther'es a FATE boss in the (Central?) Shroud named Simurgh, seems minor enough...until I found out that there's a Nortorious Monster in Anemos named Simurgh's Strider. I want to ask if thisis a coincidence or if the two are related (prolly the latter, under the assumption that there's an XI mob named Simurgh, but hey can't hurt to ask right?)

In FFXIV, mobs are named by things like the assumptions of other Eorzeans, or observations of the PC, or other guesswork. Both names could hark back to the same Eorzean legend, or it could be entirely coincidence, but in the end it was mostly just a throwback to the FFXI NM.
