I get annoyed by undercutters who are not bots, when they undercut massively on items which are selling consistently at certain price.

But 3m is not a lot. You can make that in 1 week or less doing stuff like roulettes as a tank or healer, crafting leves, treasure maps etc.

Housing is not an effective gil sink considering how this game throws gil at you like candy.

Would like to see apartments be upgradeable for gil.

Expensive mounts, glams, minions etc costing 50m gil or more.

There really isn't a good reason to keep prices high though. The items should be priced as low as reasonable, not as high as possible.

People who make 3m a week complaining about me, who has never had more than 3m in the entire time I've played the game, undercutting on the 'basically trash' items I'm just trying to get rid of asap.
    First world problems.

    Yeah no

I could care less about profit, just need to clear space and if I can help someone get better gear etc even better. It's a game want to prove how awesome you are do it on wall street, honestly don't need the drama in a game with fake money.

I mean, not to mention how SE absolutely destroyed the foundations of what made crafting advantageous on the MB. They made it easily accessible to everyone and there are many discord servers that spoon feed players by providing macros directly for their stats.

You can still make money via the marketboard but the golden age is over. There is going to be a steady overabundance of supply and lessening demand now that more people are self-sufficient. People don't have to think for themselves anymore when crafting, aren't putting in the same amount of effort as we use to have to and will just toss up their product not caring how it sells as long as it sells.

The healthiest thing is to just put things up at your price and forget about it, if you noticed it hasn't sold in a few days adjust your pricing. Undercutting has always been here to stay.

    Why though?

Do you not value your time?

The market will bear what consumers are willing to pay. If prices are too high, people won't buy consistently until the prices drop. But of course this doesn't take into account botters and people who do not value their time.

Not a complaint. Just an observation. Let's say X is selling for 75k daily, multiple times. It means, it's at the right price for buyers. Undercutting it to 50k is unlikely going to increase the demand significantly.

Also, I noticed your forum join date. It would appear you joined the game around the same time as me...how is it possible in 2 years, you've not had more than 3m considering that the game hands you gil for doing dailies/weeklies?

Perhaps, if you actually learned how to make the gil and the MB, you might not be in this situation.

Because earning gil isn't a high priority for me.
I'm not interested in housing, or crafting. (but I have levelled crafters for the lore and ability to pentameld, which has actually cost me a few million in crafting gear)

I'm not sure what else I'm supposedly raking in the dosh with. Dailies barely give you enough to cover teleport fees.
I probably make around 1m a month, which gets spent on... general day to day stuff, and occasional gear for levelling jobs or glamour.
Occasionally my FC does maps, and very occasionally I get an expensive mat drop that sells for a million or so, so that's a very sporadic windfall every... 3 months maybe? Obviously it gets spent, because that's what gil is for.
If I ever have more than about 3m, that's usually when I say to myself "great, now I can buy that 1.5m glam piece I've been wanting for months."

My marketboard habits largely consist of drops that are selling for more than 1k a piece, so it's worth considerably more than the vend price, and usually in small quantities. So I'm not getting 50-75k per sale.
Anything less than 1k a piece and I'll probably vend it for pennies.

Wish my roulettes were so generous. 10k gil for tank needed. 3 million per week sounds like a no life mode to me

    With adventurer in need:
    Expert Roulette - 14k
    Level 80 - 14k
    Level 50-70 - 14k
    Leveling - 20k
    Trials - 16k
    MSQ - 14k
    Mentor -11k
    Alliance raid- 19k
    Normal raid - 13k

    Total: ~135k
    Source: https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Duty_Roulette

Not including the gil rewards for completing weekly challenges, selling off the tomestone mats, materia etc

If you combine roulette with treasure maps, hunts even more gil

Crystarium crafting leves will give you a minimum of ~1-2m for 100 leves/HQ hand ins.
