I'm mostly a crafter, and have been playing scholar/paladin for MSQ queues (end of HW). I've tried using a summoner to farm things like blood, tears, bloody tears, tear filled blood, etc. but it really sucks at it. Usually enemies are in groups of 1-2, and around 20 seconds apart from eachother (I'm not really too fast), so I get these awkward situations, where I can use wyrm stance to wreck 1 mob, and then am forced to do bio and miasma for the 3rd mob onwards, sometimes not being able to use fester, etc. Also, I don't really see why I'd use ifrit's abilities over ruin III half the time during farming. I'm looking for a class that:
1. Doesn't have this downtime after 2-3 mobs (I feel like summoner is more a bossing/group content job)
2. Historically have always emphasized and will always emphasize single target dps (since dps tier lists probably changes every major patch)
3. Doesn't really need a group to do its thing (monks probably not a good choice because having aggro and flanking doesn't mix? I don't know to be honest, let me know if I'm wrong about that)
Also, I usually try to low-effort the farming by using around 3-5. But I wouldn't be opposed to higher effort classes as long as I can follow the flow of the fight.
Thanks in advance!
