Healers who rescue pull tanks into mobs.

May not be the most fun for the healer but if the group has AoE even in the start dungeon as a new healer if you spam heals on the tank they "should" not die. Healer was my first job I leveled when I started and I had a tank that did large pulls right out the bat in the first dungeon, only time they died was when I tried to do some damage during the large pull at those levels. This was also before GLA had a baseline damage AoE skill.

It is possible to get through.

experience varies, imo give people space to learn. large pulling is more skill based then people think. And a fresh player today may not have all the needed role skills to pull that off. I tried large pulling a few times and was met with wipe after wipe. With no idea how how/why...

They told me to be calm, and heal best I could, that if a wipe happens, it happens. Get up and try again, thing is not everyone has an fc that helps. Not everyone, gets or wants tips. It best to just go with the flow.

Overall I agree that everyone learns differently but the sad reality is single and even double pull tanks are sort of useless. For shits and giggles I ran an expert with 3 dps and 1 healer and tbh it was not hard at all to keep the dps alive doing smaller pulls. This is an issue witb SE's dunegon design and sort of make tanks largely irrelevant if they are doing single and depending on skill and dps of group double pulls.

I do think tanks that wish to learn slow and steady at the very least understand the rest of the groups fillings. Healing single pulls is mind l numbing boring due to SE class design. Same can be said when a healer wants smaller pulls as a tank I question why am I even present at that point. Overall smaller pulls are not engaging nor are they good methods of teaching players how to perform their roles since you can largely get away with a lot of bad habits during smaller pills cause it is really hard to wipe on small pulls.

Something that should be common sense, is the notion that any "trolling" or pranking that you do, either IRL or in game; at some point you're going to get a metaphorical deck in the face; just because of how wide an array of how people may interpret your mischievous impish behavior. And that's just the fact of the matter. There's no "oh well you just hate fun about it". Actively doing it with your intent in mind to prank someone, you should also have the consideration of acknowledging what consequences there could be for it.

So if you're doing it, then just accept that you might at some point find yourself in a dark dungeon for a period of time, and you brought it on yourself. Don't like it? Don't do it, or try your best to talk with the GMs about it.

It may not happen tomorrow, or the week after. But at some point it will.

There is no way to report someone for using Rescue.

I could literally rescue you to your death every time Rescue comes up but until I say something about trying to kill you all I'm doing is using one of my abilities.

Yes, if you actually harass someone (as in literally harrass them, poking fun/cursing/insulting/etc) then you run the risk of being reported (obviously) but if you aren't doing that (as the subject of this thread is clear on just using an ability you're given as a healer) you are 100% safe.

I have killed many players with rescue and people claim they have reported and spoken with go’s but no action has ever been taken at the very least for that. I have gotten sent to jail and have gotten a suspension for jokingly telling someone to drink a bleach cocktail.

I have killed many players with rescue and people claim they have reported and spoken with go’s but no action has ever been taken at the very least for that. I have gotten sent to jail and have gotten a suspension for jokingly telling someone to drink a bleach cocktail.

As long as GMs have the qualifier of “differing play styles” they won’t ban on Rescue.

What is "fear mongering" about it? Saying that there's the potential for consequences of actively engaging in that kind of behavior is somehow "fearmongering". Would telling you not to speed in traffic because you might get a speeding ticket be considered fear mongering as well?

It should be plainly obvious. Cause and effect. It shouldn't have to be brought up and debated with every agonizing minute detail; but if people have apparently forgotten there's a thing called consequences, it makes me wonder if people unironically scratch their head dumbfounded when they get banned for 3rd party stuff that violates TOS.

If anything, it's a reminder.

In the end i do not think anyone would be all that surprised if action was taken against their account for trolling, harassing, abusing abilities, or using thrid party software.

Though I do think maybe would question the why and how. Like it someone is speeding down a road with no cameras and they get a ticket in the mail because someone claims to have seem them go vroom vroom. I am sure anyone would question that even if they were speeding.
