I constantly keep getting disconnected. I've made sure my ports are forwarded, my download and upload are fine, and i'm not experiencing any disconnects or issues with any other game.

Good luck getting their help! I've sent logs from Wireshark showing SE servers sending me random TCP FIN flags disconnecting me for no reason, packet loss on the SE server side, Windows TCP process logs, etc, proving it is a SE issue.

I get disconnected every few min for the last 3 months, and they haven't done anything, or even admit this is an issue. They keep telling me it is a network/PC/routing issue, even though my wife plays on the same computers, same network, and has same routing path. I've gotten disconnected hundreds of times, she has never gotten disconnected once.

I've lost 3 months of gameplay, and cant do any raiding, dungeons, even crafting without nonstop 90002 disconnects.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I tried all of that
I replaced my modem and router
I forwarded all the TCP ports
I had my ISP reset my service
I had my ISP come to my house and check the wires

It seems like it's literally just me getting my packets massively dropped for minutes at a time, and ONLY with FF14. I can play any other game perfectly fine.

I had mild success with a VPN, but I really feel like I shouldn't have to pay an entire second monthly fee because Square is dropping packets. Like, what do I even do about this?

Thank you for the reply Hornless.

You mentioned having mild success with a VPN. What exactly do you mean by this?

Just to confirm, are you using a wired or wireless connection to your router?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
