Regarding Hard-disk copy and Digital copy

Oh my misunderstanding.

I've done this myself, and the other advise is right. I had to delete FFXIV entirely and then reinstall it from my library. The PlayStation should still keep your hotbar and HUD layouts, so you won't have to do all that again at least. But the process will be time consuming since you have to install the game and then all the patches/updates. I recommend doing the install process over-night.

Yes, you can only have one version installed at a time.

If this is purely in preparation for the PS5 then there's no need to do it yet. But it does mean you'll won't have to use the disc to run it.

You'll need to download the base game and all the patches again, so it'll take a while to install. Don't do it when you want to play soon.

Yes it is, and the reason why i would like to do it now, its because later on i might be busy with the new patch, etc etc... and i wont get to it, so i would like to do it now and get it over. the good thing is that i have good internet (500 Mbps), and it might not take too long (hopefully it will be downloaded and installed today).

and thanks everyone for the help, i will delete the game and reinstall it digitally from the library and see if that works.

Dunno what I did but exactly but I had the hardcopy of shb and I guess I took out the disc early while it was downloading and yeah never had it require the disc again, guess it like automatically switched to digital download.
