
 
			
			
				This is from physical copy to digital copy, it will be on the same platform.Cost will depend on when you do it. As I recall from the migration from PS3 to PS4, Square was offering to let people move between the platforms for free when the PS4 first came out. I didn't do it at the time because I hadn't bought the new system (no games I wanted yet, so I didn't want to spend the money on it) and by the time I did upgrade my system, that was no longer an option, and I had to purchase the game again.



 
			
			
				Oh my misunderstanding.
I've done this myself, and the other advise is right. I had to delete FFXIV entirely and then reinstall it from my library. The PlayStation should still keep your hotbar and HUD layouts, so you won't have to do all that again at least. But the process will be time consuming since you have to install the game and then all the patches/updates. I recommend doing the install process over-night.

and thanks everyone for the help, i will delete the game and reinstall it digitally from the library and see if that works.


 
			
			
				Dunno what I did but exactly but I had the hardcopy of shb and I guess I took out the disc early while it was downloading and yeah never had it require the disc again, guess it like automatically switched to digital download.
