    Unable to log in

    The launcher keeps opening to the blue "welcome to FF14" screen, instead of the one where you can just log in and start playing. Telling it I have an account just has it give me a miserable line of text saying "You already have the game, idiot" and not giving me the login option. How do I get from here to the usual launcher?

    I'm assuming the "You already have the game, idiot" line isn't verbatim, or I'm going to question the legitimacy of that launcher.

    More seriously, I'd be curious what the contents of the "FFXIV_BOOT.cfg" file in the "My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" directory under your Documents directory are. (Specifically the "EulaAgreementNT", "EulaAgreement", and "EulaAgreementExBitArray32" values.)

    Adding to that, there are several other entries that might need to be looked at too, specifically 'StartupCompleted'. But yeah, open the 'FFXIV_BOOT.cfg' file (it should open automatically in Notepad, if it doesn't you may need to associate .cfg format files to open with Notepad in Windows), and check the relevant entries have the correct values beside them (sometimes a bug or glitch can cause these values to be changed without your knowledge).

    If I remember correctly, that's the screen that's displayed when the launcher can't detect the game being installed.

    If nothing is happening when you click Next, you may need to reinstall the launcher. Otherwise, let us know what happens when you do click it.
