Oh dear god please no. I want more ways to end a combo, not less. This would be like merging every step of GF combo into 1 button, Continuation and all; you take away any sort of fun from the job.Should collapse combos like the tanks' combos. Set the base path into 1 button and put the alternate finisher(storm's eye, and Goring blade for WAR/PLD respectively) into a 2nd button. Same for pretty much every other job with a linked combo like that. For red mage I like how pvp did it. Where verfire/stone turns into verthunder/aero. They already made thunder/aero turn into flare/holy and jolt turn into scorch so whats stopping them.
Except that Continuation is an oGCD and is already merged. I'm merely saying take the GF combo and pile it together like continuation. You can't use the other 2 parts of the combo otherwise. so instead of 1-4-2-4-3-4 it would be 1-4-1-4-1-4.
And more buttons =/= more fun. As mentioned in previous posts, if they can condense things reliant on other skills they don't have to prune things to make room for new ones. Like imagen they removed continuation to make room for another skill. And you can't say they won't, because they've removed things like it in the past.
They also removed several handy skills over the years. Most jobs lost at least 1 DoT skill over the course of the game. They also removed some simple oGCD damage abilities to make room for newer skills as well as some smaller scale buffs. Monk used to have a skill called internal release that increased their crit chance and pretty much every phyisical job except tanks could use it yet they removed it in HW and basically gave drg the same buff in a party form.
If you're against freeing up space so adamantly then you're essentially supporting needless skill pruning. But hey, you do you.

I'd love the Continuation combo on one button. Gunbreaker is completely unfriendly to the controller people.
You're speaking only for yourself. Now I am only going to speak for myself: I am a member of the "controller people" and find GNB very friendly. In my opinion, there's no need to make Continuation combo into one button.
I manage too, but it's far busier to play than, say, Dark Knight, which also has much simpler mitigation. You will be switching to different crossbars more often than most other classes, guaranteed, for identical DPS. And for what? A class doesn't need to be carpal tunnel-y to be engaging.
When you say "switching to different crossbars", I hope you don't mean like cycling through them with r1. Because there's a better way.
Otherwise, it's not that big of a deal to switch from R2 to L2 or R2 to R2>L2.
Also since it keeps popping up, pressing a single button repeatedly is just as likely to cause carpal tunnel as pressing different buttons. It's the repetitive action that causes it, not moving around.
Yes I'm using that, thank you. Still more cumbersome than playing other classes. When you say "switching to different crossbars", I hope you don't mean like cycling through them with r1. Because there's a better way.

No it's not. It's fine as it is for controller players.. me being one of them on PS4. This is a you problem.. not a controller user problem. Leave gun breaker alone. SQUARE do not listen to this man please. D: I love Gun breaker as it is.
GF combo can get merged into 1 button but continuation is fine as it is now.
