    The best guide is doing. Read through your skills, understand what each does, and then just play around in TC with different things. You can learn more about crafting spending 30 minutes trying to optimize a craft for your stats in TC than days spent in-game. Once you've tried a bunch of things, look at some good public rotations for hard recipes. Notice patterns you see, setup/finishers, how buffs are used, etc. Then try going back and improving yours. Consider the differences you see in low stat rotations and high stat rotations, where having more stats/CP lets you cut out many steps. You can also try things you'd normally craft like scrip collectables. Since they're so easy to 0-100, just throw up a very meh rotation and then try optimizing it down to as few steps as possible. This will teach you how trade-offs happen when people come up with these rotations. They're almost always done by starting with a very simple approach and then optimizing it for different stat levels or with a target in mind (like fitting in 1 macro).

    If you want to follow an easy route, you can find meld sets and good rotations at places like The Balance, where the meld sets are intentionally designed to be cheap, hit minimums, and still easily be able to do the hardest crafts available. I wouldn't recommend using Zane or Ashe guides as their rotations are typically poor and melds are not well thought out. Neither of them uses tooling like TC to optimize like theorycrafters will, and you can easily get better at crafting than they are with practice.

Teamcraft is 100% exact, there is no doubting that. You are wasting GIL with practice materials. If you need help in understanding how to use Teamcraft I can help you with that;
