I'll check it out, after I get tired of gathering. Suddenly found out there's a huge demand for ordinary lvl 70-80 stuff I can get without timer (wouldn't surprise me if it's more money in gathering than crafting).I could probly sit here for the next hourish and bang out a reasonable version of a guide, but i really dont have that kinda energy today. If you really want to understand crafting, the gold standard has always been Caimie's guide(search the DoH forum, im sure youll find a link). You could also just spend some time playing with the system and try to get a feel for it yourself. Grab some "apprentice's practice materials" from one of the vendors that sell them(300 gil in eulmore crystarium or firmament), then try the practice recipes(artisans durable/fragile practice materials). While you dont get a useful item in the process, only spending 300 gil(and a couple crystals) for a full practice is certainly better then gathering the materials for a real craft and hoping you dont mess up.![]()

Use Storms rotation for Neo-Ish gear, you'll need HQ BB food. That rotation will get you 100/100 with no HQ mats needed.
Dont' worry about practice materials and 'hoping'
You can pre test any rotation using Teamcraft - https://ffxivteamcraft.com/simulator
Plug in your stats (I don't bother using the specialist toggle - just use your raw stats), the item you want to craft (all 3 star 70 durability are the same) and enter your rotation to see if it clears. That will give you a good metric and understanding.
Best gear for me on that rotation is All Facet gear with Materia to get the Craftsmanship and CP. Once you have the proper amount of those stats, then Control as needed (but it's not super important to meld)
I am able to get 100/99 with all Facet and I throw in 1 HQ Aethersand and it's 100% everytime.

That comes out completely wrong, not even close to what I get with Zane's guide (Rank VIII Artisan's Durable Practice Materials). According to the simulator I will fail miserably, but with Zane's guide, even if I'm below on Control, I manage 90'ish quality (depending on conditions). I'm not even going to touch the real thing before I understand this stuff better. My stats, un-buffed are Craftsmanship 2449, Control 2318, CP 522 with blue 470 gear and all other items overmelded to max with CP and Control. I use Cunning Craftsman's Syrup and Mejillones al Ajillo to get the necessary CP and Craftsmanship. I would have preferred Commanding Craftsman's Syrup, for the higher Control, but then I'll be lacking in CP.Here you go https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...h.ecvgk13a0ftg
