Razer Basilisk - Clutch Key not working with FFXIV

    Hello,
my husband is currently playing the Trial Version of the game and is having a mouse issue.

He owns a Razer Basilisk, which has 5 mouse buttons and a "Clutch" Key (default function: change sensibility).

He has the mouse buttons functions changed in Razer Synapse and they are working fine in Windows and other games.
However as soon as he starts FFXIV only the Clutch Key stops working. It is not working ingame and in windows, browsers etc.
The clutch key was set as "F10" but we also tried setting it to "O" or "A" instead.

As soon as the game is closed the key starts working again.

Last week it was working fine and we are not sure what changed. (was there an update?)

Does anyone have a similar problem, solution or can help?

    - Thanks for help in advance -

The issue has been present for about 10 days, before it has been working for over a month.

We have noticed now, that FFXIV is not the only game affected though.
I also know of another person owning this exact mouse, who does not have any problems with this key.
After what we tried so far this is all very confusing.

What we tried so far but nothing helped:
    - Update drivers, software and windows
    - Remove and then reinstall Mouse driver
    - Repair and Remove Razer Synapse (including deleting all files)
    - Removing all Profiles and create new ones
    - Allow Synapse through Firewalls etc

    - Thanks for any help -

    We have found the problem.

It looks like the old motherboard can not support two USB 3.0 devices on full load.
My husband recently got a new 7.1 Headset, which seems to need more power while in a game that supports that.
Why it only deactivates one key is beyond me, but at least we now know the answer.

We work around this for now by connecting the mouse to USB 2.0, and will update the motherboard in time.

Hope this helps if someone is having a similar problem.

    - Thanks again and issue is now resolved. -
