One of the biggest things I can suggest is just to try playing other things, or doing things other than playing games at all. Rather than looking at the dearth of FF14 content as a bad thing, try to look at it as on opportunity to knock some games off your backlist or to try a different game that you hadn't ever tried before. Maybe even spend the time you would usually spend playing FF14 on learning a new skill or developing a new hobby. The biggest issue with FF14 not having any new content right now is really just seeing FF14 as something that has to satisfy your every need for hours and hours every single day.

    I agree with StriderShinryu:

It's not like FFXIV is the only thing that exists. Plenty other games, games you loved - not just "enjoyed" or found "great" - to play in the past, new games you haven't picked up, because you were busy with FFXIV or generally something outside of gaming (e.g. tv-series you missed, although I StriderShinryu sure meant something else :P ).
I've been thinking about picking up the Gothic-series or Zelda: Skyward Sword again. But atm, I've still got plenty to do in FFXIV. I don't pick up every content in it, because I don't want to bore or force myself with stuff I don't find interesting. The latter was the problem I had in the end with WoW, as it became more and more of a chore.
