"Adjust waist" button for body gear

I'd love to get rid of a lot of the random accessories, sashes. butt capes, whatever that ruin otherwise good tops. So many are like that. SE just kind of has a thing with overdoing it.

Ah yeah, it would be nice if we had instead of a hide sash button, a "Hide accessory" or something like that, to hide that kind of things from certain chestpieces. They would have to map those elements in the item somehow, not sure how it would work, or if that would require a big overhaul of something.

It's probably less of a technical requirement and more of a manpower requirement. They'd have to go over every single item in the game that can be equipped in the torso slot and individually create the item group definitions, link them to a UI component, and prepare the server to handle more character state information. More often than not we do a similar review at my job where we don't look at requirements from a technical component, because we know it can be done, but whether or not the hours of manpower lost are worth the outcome.

This is something every company has to go through. If they commit to doing it to a few items, they have to commit to every item otherwise they'll have a new issue on their hands.

I'm all for the OP idea... but instead of a "Adjust Waist", they could have "Adjust gear" named.

So it would actually be broader in the sense that we could hide more than just waistpieces.

For example, stuff like capes versus miqo'te. I'd certainly hide most of them to avoid the ugliest clipping in the game. Some have cumbersome shoulderpads that could be optional too... And funny that most of the times, if you take a real close look at the item, you'd be able to see that the gear isn't just blank underneath those appendages.
