So I've been thinking what it is exactly that makes it so enjoyable for WAR, and I think it's Beast Gauge management and Storm's eye edging that gets more fun as skill speed increases with WAR. You have less brandwidth to plan it out and it makes it feel much more like a rush.
Yeah but we lost that. Well.. WAR and DRK lost that. PLD is only improving with each expansion. WAR's getting more and more simplified to make it more appealing, as before it was Dig Bick DPS of the tanks... which it no longer is. DRK was it's own thing, and playing it well took effort and skill... which was gutted and made so redundant.
Here's a WAR/DRK complaint comment. PLD's got two DoTs, one on the GCD and one on a recast. GNB's both are gated by recast.
Why doesn't WAR have one? Why's DRK's gated both by a recast and a resource cost?

WAR would need a rework to its kit for skill speed to work in a flow stand point. This is NOT to say I disagree with WAR moving forward pivoting towards a SKS tank that hits hard when it goes through a solid ramp up.
Each Tank has a sub theme to them with GNB being a OGCD weaver style giving it a feel of being fast paced but not being overly fast in GCD stand point.
DRK is built completely on always using an OGCD while PLD has an identity of ranged supremecy.
WAR doesn't have an identity outside of DH/CRIT but that has been problematic to rely on since its inception. Its either way too strong, or way too weak. I don't think completely ruining the DH/CRIT would need to be removed, but toned down as a reward for the skill speed of WAR as a pinnacle pay off ( a requirement to EARN Inner Release so to speak).
From personal preference I really enjoyed WAR back in SB when my AST feed me arrows as no one in my static ever wanted the darn things except maybe my BRD.
