Just tested Discerning Eye II proc with Arros Negre

I thought a buff to the price of Arros Negre would have some effect on the chances of the proc on Discerning Eye II, but on Raw Hematite with my stats at lvl 80 G1922/P1962 (with the buff) the increase was only from 74% to 79%. That is way to little to pay 7-8.000 gil for, in my opinion.

They were enough to get me over the gathering and perception caps for diadem bonus nodes, so they were well worth the 1k I paid for them 3 months ago.

You're actually lucky it is that big. Efficiency increases from consumables are usually 1-2% in MMOs.

Marketboard prices are set by sellers, not the developers. If you don't like the prices on your world, you should use World Visit to check the prices on other worlds. If you still can't find a price you like, level CUL so you can make it and then start selling it at the price you think is fair.

I have all DoL and DoH at level 80, with maxed gear. It's just that I find it irrelevant to use money on something close to worthless, unless it's exactly what you need to just get you over the edge (if you can say it like that in English).

So then what was the point of posting this? The meal is there for those players who find it useful to increase their stats to meet minimum thresholds on certain nodes. That way they don't have to waste time and even more gil overmelding their gear for the same result if the majority of their gathering doesn't require those stats.

There's no reason to make a post just to tell us you don't want to buy something. Imagine how cluttered this forum would be if every player made a post for every game item they don't want to buy.

You implied that telling the general public that they're wasting their money (unless for very specific purposes) is stupid. Maybe not in those exact words, but the meaning was there.

I wish more sites would actually tell you if it's worth it, to use the money on the buff, in stead of just listing the best buffs.

They aren't wasting their money. It's a useful increase to stats if the player needs that increase and many do. You've decided that increase is useless to you but you don't get to make that decision for others.

You probably shouldn't be throwing the word stupid around considering a lot of the other posts you've been making in these forums.
