Unless you have a truly horrific service provider, live in a really crappy area, have a really crappy router, or a really crappy computer, you should not have noticeable latency.

I bet your latency is much higher than 100 if you are in the US.

I've got all gatherers to 50 too, lol. I do notice slight variation (we're human, after all) but never anyone finishing a node before me in the time that you suggest.

Are you playing in the US, maybe you have just experienced the difference between other US players.
