While latency is an issue that Yoshida & co. have copped to, using a Japanese 16-minute-31-second run doesn't back up your case at all. If you follow that video's route to the letter and perform as well as they do, with zero animals on Coincounter, you should complete AV in about the same amount of time. We personally use a slower route and still finish in 18-19 minutes without mistakes. Saying "oh, you haven't done it in 16 minutes and 31 seconds, so you can't" isn't a valid rejoinder either, because everyone who spams speedruns should know by now where they could cut off 2-3 minutes.

Also, some problems are universal; you can see in the video that Japanese players have to deal with the same "YOU CAN"T CAST FLARE LOL YOU"RE STILL MOVING" error that we run into.

Valentia, the point that's being made is that the person arguing, hasn't done any content, nor lvl'd a class to actually make a counter-claim to Taei's. There is not E-Peen / Superiority to it. You can't talk like you know what you're talking about when you haven't done the content, nor gone through the motions of crafting / gathering...

Are you seriously comparing speed to Japan with speed to a local server? Either you're an absolute amateur, an idiot, or you're trolling.

Just to show the difference between playing on a NA server, and a JP server. The latency and download speed is totally different.

This is what server latency would be at or around if there were a NA server


This is what NA players deal with since there's only a JP server for all of XIV


You tell me that 4x's more latency, and more then 11.5x slower download speed doesn't = a slower NA response to play XIV, then I'd like you to defend the numbers.

Edit. Also before a troll says that's not a good internet connection, I don't lag on WoW, SC2, BF3, Any CoD, GW, nor SW:ToR. And on full graphics also, with no UI lag.
