While latency is an issue that Yoshida & co. have copped to, using a Japanese 16-minute-31-second run doesn't back up your case at all. If you follow that video's route to the letter and perform as well as they do, with zero animals on Coincounter, you should complete AV in about the same amount of time. We personally use a slower route and still finish in 18-19 minutes without mistakes. Saying "oh, you haven't done it in 16 minutes and 31 seconds, so you can't" isn't a valid rejoinder either, because everyone who spams speedruns should know by now where they could cut off 2-3 minutes.

Also, some problems are universal; you can see in the video that Japanese players have to deal with the same "YOU CAN"T CAST FLARE LOL YOU"RE STILL MOVING" error that we run into.
