ITS TIME WE GET 50 WARDS-!

Now that more players have joined or returned and for years Square has been heartless towards its player base when it comes to housing. There is no reason to steal homes from people after 45 days other than to simply be jerks and bully the players into never taking a break. Life happens and now that we are in a pandemic lockdown, they take away the timers to lose your home after 45 days of inactivity. Items and costs have been stolen in many instances as well when the person takes a 6-12 month break for deployment. Talking to customer support even over the phone does nothing to help the situation other than wait for 3-6 weeks for email responses notifying you that you are SOL.

As stated...There exists is no reason to steal homes and hard work, other than to mistreat customers and the time has come that SE should once and for all give the rest of the wards up to 50 so all players have the ability to enjoy the housing system. It will cause more customers to play and earn their homes as well as players to return to a system they lost hope in due to the frustration of losing their home to the gods at SE who felt stealing homes for inactivity was fair.

Bots are winning, profit in real-world occurs by selling plots... this has to end.

You realize housing demolition timers are on hold currently because of Covid, right?

Also no one has the right to hold a house hostage and go inactive for 6 months on a limited market. Housing timers are fine and should stay. If people want to keep their houses, then they should keep using them.

I kinda wish they made the demolition timer much more severe, actually. Put it on a 4 week timer and you have to pay ~5% of the cost of your house every month. Which would make the cheapest house a mere 150k a month and the most expensive mansion 2.5m which seems fair enough and might discourage people from just sitting on empty property they aren't really using. And make it so players can actually put them up for sale for in-game gil to a max of like 90% the initial buy price or something. That way if someone wants to have the gil to buy another house when they get back, they'll have a chunk of it.

Or they can just make things instanced like sensible individuals but they're too far along into instanced housing to make a switch. But a limited resource to be spread among the players shouldn't just be something you will never, ever lose.

Of course this'll never happen, but I can dream.

Considering there are games where every one can have a house, the thing is they should be able to provide a system where all players can have a house, even if it is shared between alts.
The current system is still pretty weird. A player can, in theory have a FC room AND an apartment for each character he owns but SE is unable to provide an evolutive housing system,even if it means shared with alts, without destruction timer, for everyone? It doesn't make sense.

For me the real reason behind the timer is to help the FCs to have a house. But then, it means they are perfectly aware of the limit and the problem of the ward system as it is.

Their explanation was that it keeps people active and competitive. Pricing has never scaled properly, nor has availability. Bots control the housing market and with spamming on top of it due to notice... it's asinine that the timers and limits on wards exist in 2020. More would enjoy that aspect of the game if limitations were not in play. They could even do more events, expansion, raise prices, and people would pay if not for the limited availability. Old argument in many ways but with Covid and no timer, its valid

Either make 50+ wards or unlimited instanced houses.... see the housing servers crash continuous due to overload.
wards system is a way of controlling how many resources are used my houses, think it would be accepted if SE said only x amount of houses allowed? And the more people get mansions the lower that number will be?
