    Reporting Launcher Related Issue (Europe Region)

    We are aware that players have been experiencing launcher issues recently, and in order to help the investigation, we would like everyone to follow the following steps when reporting these issues.

    Error encountered
    A system error has occurred: -2146697211
    HTTPS System Error


    Contacting your Internet Service Provider
    The issue may be occurring at one of the routes the Internet Service Provider (ISP) takes to reach our servers. The issue may be something that may be resolved on their end, so we would first like you to please contact your ISP. When contacting your ISP, please make sure to receive a ticket reference number from them as this will help us investigate the issue when we need to contact your ISP.

    When reporting your issue in this thread, please make sure to provide the following information.

    • Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
    • Ticket or reference number from your ISP (if you have one)
    • Country
    • Date/Time (When did the issue start happening, at what specific times does this issue arise, if any)
    • Frequency (How often does the issue occur?)
    • Traceroute results to "secure.square-enix.com" (Learn how to generate traceroute record)

    Launcher problem Switzerland

    • Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Rii-Seez-Net (https://www.riiseeznet.ch/)
    • Ticket or reference number from your ISP (if you have one): None
    • Country: Switzerland / SG
    • Date/Time (When did the issue start happening, at what specific times does this issue arise, if any): 01. June 2020 08:00 AM - til now...
    • Frequency (How often does the issue occur?): always
    • Traceroute records (optional) (Learn how to generate traceroute record): All routes tried

    VPN, DNS Flush, New IP, Reset, Mobile Hotspot, nothing helps....!!!

    • Ticket or reference number from your ISP: Don't have one, but I've seen some reports from people using the same provider mentioning that KPN cannot do anything to help, as they think the issue is not on their side.
    • Country: The Netherlands
    • Date/Time: Since Monday Morning June 1st. When I logged out sunday evening everything was still working fine.
    • Frequency: Constantly. On rare occasions, the lodestone or forums do work, but not for long. But the launcher just never works. Tried correcting via PS4 and PC. None of them successful
    • Traceroute records: It just keeps saying that the request timed out

    Apparently, using a VPN from an unaffected country seems to work, but I don't know if this would be allowed as a temporary fix to this problem This issue, for me, only happens with anything FFXIV related. Everything else (games, websites, etc) works perfectly fine.

    EDIT: The problem seems to have been fixed? Because it's working fine for me now

    Issue has veen fixed by Cogent

    I got this email yesterday (June 2nd 2020) at 13:00 GMT+1 from Cogent:

    Hello,

    We have found a CEF issue in one of our core routers, you should not see any more packet loss. Your service should now be functioning normally
    If you have further questions please feel free to contact us.

    So the problem was in the core router: tata.ams03.atlas.cogentco.com

    I started getting the where you can't log into the launcher where ffxivboot.exe locks up with this note here 30605 20448 10009 10019 as can't connect to the server

    • Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP) WAOO via Fibia.dk
    • Ticket or reference number from your ISP (if you have one)
    • Country: Denmark
    • Date/Time (When did the issue start happening, at what specific times does this issue arise, if any) started happening 3rd of June from around 21:00 o'clock CET
    • Frequency (How often does the issue occur?): All the time, can however bypass with my phoneas internet and then switching back to fiber line after getting to the login on launcher.
    • Traceroute results to "secure.square-enix.com" (Learn how to generate traceroute record) none needed, it should be obvious that there is some connection problems or run out certificates on the server side that make it hard on some connections to hook up or ID itself with the server.
