    Really enjoying Dancer, good work dev team!

    Took me long enough to settle on a ranged DPS, it felt intimidating at first with the 30 minute how to videos that do their best to turn their role into a calculus problem. Also heard all the hub-bub about ranged damage being weaker this exp, but the utility Dancer brings could be viable if they did just two things:

    Buff Curing Waltz potency (500-600 would be great!) and maybe lower the cooldown.

    Increase Shield Samba potency or duration (both would probably goad the dev team to nerf the damage.)

    If either of these things are a no-go due to balance, how about an ability to raise people, like a "Phoenix Zorba"? (The rising phoenix is based off of Greek Mythology, and Zorba, is a type of Syrtaki, a popular Greek Dance.)
    -Originally, I wanted to suggest a dance move that mimics Michael Jackson's Thriller as the dance animation buuutt... well, no.

    Other than that, I never played a ranged DPS that flowed this well. I'm the kind of player that likes to be flexible while doing maximum output, not so much a juggling act like how I've felt BRD and MCH are. Granted I haven't played pre Shadowbringers so I'm probably wrong on that remark.

    Curing Waltz is already 600 potency.

    Starting at Lv60, your Dance Partner will use it at the same time you do. So if everyone is stacked, that's 600 potency.


    It doesn't really need potency up or recast down, but a more forgiving radius would be nice. At 3y, it requires a pretty tight stack.

    dnc definitely need more work (and some buff) but i really enjoy the class right now.

    yeah curing waltz need more range, 5y is good, no idea why they put 3y (and why 3 lol)

    also, maybe just me but some attack animation need to be speed up a little, cascade and fountain for one, it just strange to see your chakram fly so slow, like you can literally track it with your eyes moving in oval shape

    and i wish standard and technical finish buff work to all party member not just your dance partner, this way it should raise dnc utility support.

    and lastly, please yoshi, make your dance partner (closed position) work on lower level too, make it available at level 30 or something, this perk is one of the few that define dnc and most of the time during DF i cant use it because level requirement lol

    Technical Finish DOES buff the entire party. For like 20 seconds. Standard Finish CAN'T because a party-wide 5% damage buff every 30s is broken as hell.

    Any proposed utility adjustments to make it better than it already is would mean a direct nerf to damage, and for a job already reliant on procs and longer CDs for sustained higher numbers, DNC utility is fine as it is. If anything, something to guarantee a feather proc after X GCDs without one could be useful, or even a very slight reduction to the cost of Saber Dance. Personally, I'd love to see more Esprit-spender options like SAM's Kenki, and moving Saber Dance to oGCD as something to pop in a raid buff window. But to do that, there might have to be a more reliable way to generate Esprit in combat.

    Curing Waltz is already pretty strong as it is and doesn't need any buff. But upping the range from 3y to y5 would be great. 3y is extremely small and and requires very precise stacking. 5y wouldn't break it, you still have to stack for it. And having dance partner earlier than 60 would be nice aswell.

    But making Standard affect the whole party would be such a huge buff that they have to nerf potencies into the ground. Even on bad runs with a mediocre dance partner I get 850 rDPS through standard alone. With it buffing the whole party that would easily climb to 3k+ which would put Dancer in line or even ahead of jobs like SAM, BLM or SMN while having no uptime loss and full mobility, no positionals and almost no range requirements.

    It's not equivalent to 2 Medica.

    It's 300+300 potency but from a physical DPS class, so the real value is something like a bit more powerfull than Second Wind.

    Healing magic potencies and healing skill potencies from other class don't work the same.
    Healers have traits that increase their healing action by 30%.
