    Main menu trailer infinite load issue

    Hey its me again, I'm just not sure where else to get info on an issue like this but whats happening is, the usual shadowbringers trailer that plays after a couple minutes on the main menu now just shows the loading icon in the bottom right indefinitely, and the only way to exit is to force close. this happens if i try to select anything other than the intro video with the crystal in the beginning..
    No issues with the game itself, its just the trailers in the main menu
    Im guessing its a file access or corruptin issue, but i cant seem to find how to get the launcher to verify or redownload the files. Is there a way to do this? Also, whats the correct filetree for the game folder?

    You may want to try deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

    hey sorry for the late reply, unfortunately it didnt appear to help
    even when i checked someone elses file structure and mimicked it (put each .dat file in its own folder) it didnt pick up the movie files, perhaps its different between steam and the standalone version

    Could you try doing a cleanboot? : Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

    hmm what do you think could be affecting it in the startup? I keep my startup programs relatively clean, just steam discord windows defender etc, i cant imagine any of these could be giving issues. did you have anything specific in mind?

    I think a reinstall would probably fix it but redownloading 50 odd gb on my line isnt very nice to think about

    EDIT: if someone could hash check their movie files and their fileinfo.fiin file and send them to me id greatly appreciate it

    EDIT2: okay, i check with another steam user and it looks like im missing the .bk2 and .fiin files for each ex folder, nothing i can do about that save reinstall, unless some kind soul would host those fil;es for me so i can download them individually, but thats probably against TOS

    EDIT3: fixed it! found a torrent with all the files, presumably for people who struggle to download through th launcher, but this will let me replace what was missing
