I'm within 10 days of having the pteranodon mount and I'm not even going at it half as hard as I could have been. It's a long grind but an easy, stress-free, solo one that anyone can do without issue. I have zero pvp mounts besides the GARO ones, which were the only reasonable PVP mounts. Not even close to any other mounts even after doing absolutely disgusting amounts of it beyond anything healthy. PVP mounts are the worst.

That being said, I wouldn't suggest locking Cruise Chaser mount behind a grind as huge as the pteranodon, either. I'm doing it, but it's definitely a bit overboard in terms of grind time and I'll be glad when I'm done. It is possible to put something in the game, make it satisfying to obtain, and, you know, NOT make acquiring it the worst thing you will ever do to yourself.

Getting the GARO mounts didn't involve anything near "absolutely disgusting" amounts of pvp. That would be getting any of the 1000 wins achievements. Is getting 100 wins a grind? Sure. Is it more stressful than a solo achievement mount? I'd argue that depends how much you let yourself get stressed out when having to deal with other people. It seems clear that pvp isn't your cup of tea, so of course it would seem like the worst chore in the world to you. But as far as the conditions for obtaining a mount go, what they've chosen really isn't unreasonable. Frontlines/Rival Wings is just cleverly disguised RNG anyway.

1000 rival wings wins already gives you a title. What they need to do is increase the number of wolfmarks you can carry and make it an expensive wolf mark item (like 100k+ wolfmarks). That or if they bother to make it an achievement reward for a new rw map which I doubt because its not as popular as frontlines. Right now there isnt much to buy with wolfmarks. I'd like if they put a couple new big ticket items and some cheaper consumables similar to the dyes they put in Ishgard restoration (like maybe a better metallic purple)
