Seasonal events idea?

I\\'ll start off by apologizing if this has an actual spot already.
However what I would love to see is a follows

A new Ascian is troubled by the work he has been asked to do and seeks the warrior of lights help in completing some of these quests.
Quest reward - Ascian glamour gear (diable) with the lowest ranked ascian mask (make and hood should have the visor affects, mask to either do the same as the moogle one or straight up, and the hood should go from blacked out to either the make or showing your face)

After completing the quests for the first gear, he is till troubled and asks if you would help again, each time doing this getting another mask till you have all the Ascian masks and the white one as well.

After completing all of the quests you should be able to buy the Ascian\\'s mark, the red one that covers their face when they tell you the what their rank is. This should be a consumable item like the fireworks or shining wings.

It would be a decent filler event for when there are those spans of time that are lacking anything and would be amazing glams.

The Ascians never appear in seasonal events because they're actually very secretive and the regular person in the street wouldn't even know they exist. Most seasonal events are either Eorzean-equivelants to real world Earth events (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween etc), Japanese cultural events (Little Ladies' Day), crossovers with other FF games or other intellectual properties (FFXI, XIII, XV, Yo-Kai Watch, Garo), or are FFXIV lore or meta events (FFXIV's death and rebirth, Gold Saucer). These events are mostly (if not all) available to anyone freely and are not dependent on story progression which would be otherwise required for such an event.

Having said that, I'd love to have the robe and mask of an Amaurotian - but I think that is bound to be a main scenario quest reward or dungeon drop and not something given away in a special event.

Sorry, but that would utterly undermine how the Ascians work, even if they had any tasks to do that weren't at complete odds with what we're trying to achieve.

As Enkidoh said, if we ever got somewhere that would award us Ascian robes/masks/similar would be a very late-game quest or sidequest. Not something handed out to people at Lv15 where the Ascians are our mortal enemies for at least another 65 levels of story. We (or at least our characters) still have no reason to not be utterly opposed to them at this point.

If you just want Ascian-looking gear, try the Darklight caster set.

Let's be realistic here - the Ascian robe, just like any important NPC Gear, wouldn't be handed out for free but most likely show up on the MogStation if it was implemented.

And even then, they wouldn't hand out the glyphs and masks, as every Ascian has their own and they wouldn't hand out 13+ variants.

The theory of WoL being a shard of the 14th being confirmed so we can get 14th's mask and glyph.

Getting Amaurotine glamour is much more likely in comparison.

Didn't SE say they wouldn't ever give us villain outfits because it would be confusing? I definately remember them saying it about garlean armour, so ascian robes would fall under that. I don't think they would be able to justify the WoL wearing that attire, and they especially would not be able to justify the WoL using the ascians identifying glyph (magic the WoL most certainly would never possess) as a firework.

Sorry OP, no matter how you spin it, it won't, and shouldn't happen outside of maybe a quest reward from the absolute final battle against the ascians/zodiark, with lore justification as to why we can now possess these robes.

They said that, yes, though it didn't stop them adding Edda's outfit to the game.

If the speculation about the MC as a former Convocation member pans out, they will potentially have a glyph of their own anyway. Imagine if the present occupant of that office is a shard of the departed member, and those shards eventually merge with the MC.

I hope we will eventually be able to get their robes and the MC's own glyph.

I also don't buy the "confusing" line. If you can show up in a bikini and not have that be "confusing", we can suspend disbelief too for a "villain's" outfit - like Theodric mentioned, they've already done it with Edda. They can do it in the future with other nice outfits, like Zenos's or Emet's, or Regula's. There's no real issue.
