My reaction was something along the lines of, "I fucking knew it! The only Ishgardian I liked! I knew they were gonna kill him! Goddamn it, I knew it!!!!!!! AAAAARGH! Followed by me pounding my desk several times with my fist.

I knew someone was going to do that. Theres always one. Im sure you didnt react whenor even whenTesleen changed before our eyeseither. Whatever, you do you. Im gonna go to my room and watch the post Mt Gulg cutscenes again.Emet asked us to remember them
Sorry that not everyone gets 100% emotionally invested in characters in a video game moreso than real life. Much less characters you barely know.
You sound like my teenage cousin trying to convince someone how important it is to care about their ship. Telling someone how to feel is what they avoid when writing, because not everyone is in a hive mind. Just because you bawled doesn't mean that everyone is obligated to feel the same.
And to that end, I enjoy our choices for dialog because there isn't a cut and dry "we say you have to be sad."

If you want to make it even sadder, go back to Camp Dragonhead right afterwards and talk to the NPCs. Some of them get new dialogue.

Immediately after, and after clearing Heavensward, and again after Dragonsong.
...hmm, unlocking the Firmament as soon as it's available is going to mean people miss Francel's third bit of dialogue there.

Just thought of a good one. That bit in the lead-up to stormblood...when they have to drag Yda/Lyse away kicking and screaming so Papylamo can try to seal Shinryu. If i remember right, i refused to leave the first time i watched and he used fluid aura(or something similar) to knock me back onto the airship.
Theres a stone-cold callback to Haurchefaunt in the DRK questline(one of the Myste bits from SB).The shade born of Gallien's memories tells you of how he always wanted to meet you, a larger-than-life hero...unaware that he eventually did at Little Ala Mhigo. He laments his fate, wishing he could go back and convince his former self not to place his trust in the Griffin...but if such things were possible, you wouldn't have a broken shield, now would you?

Myste's model was from a young Haurchefant used for one of the Tales From the Dragonsong War, but with Ysayle's hair. He's designed to be a walking reminder of the friends you've lost along the way.
