Mac OS Catalina Cant install the game

I am getting the following error during the very first update:

Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x00000000 in 64-bit code.

I downloaded it from the Mac page and moved it to applications. Then tried to execute it and it crashed almost immediately.

I am using a Mac book with OS Catalina 10.15.5
It has an AMD Pro 5500M GPU.

Can anyone help me find out how to get this installed?

Edit: I was able to resolve this. For anyone else having this issue, this is what I did. Im not sure why it worked.

I moved the actual FFXIV download (DMG) to the application folder. I then extracted the installer to the application folder. It is now installed. Hopefully this helps someone else with this problem.
