Hyur Midlander female faces need... help.

The faces aside from Viera, Lalafell & Miqo'te all need work. They're placid & look like wax. The faces in WoW have more depth than what we are given in FFXIV CC, probably because they have animations that don't give them a boring, robotic stare & actual face shading. Character creation in FFXIV leaves more to be desired, that's for sure.

In wow there are like 1-2 faces total per race that are young and nice looking, is this is the "desired character creation"? lol nope
And the only nice looking face for troll is last one with weird brows, and human or draenei female faces all look the same.

I have been all the races and I think Hyur can be extremely gorgeous. I do feel all the races need more options it has been asked for a long time.

Viera all blend into one to me I am not sure why but they look exactly the same. The horns on Au Ra need fixing so you can choose, Cats need more options
I would like the Moon Keepers teeth on my Sun cat and always baffled me why they would not give them to all.

I think the Character creation needs a overhaul and I would have preferred that the old races got updated instead of adding new.

So you don't like midlander faces. Ok. Why should it matter?
Everybody doesn't like certain races/faces options, so what?
Hell, Vieras don't even have a single decent hairstyle and can't even use the in game obtainable ones.

WoW's new faces are... bleh. They rely too much on the same wire mesh, and all look pretty much identical. We have way more choices here, even if a lot of those choices are bad.

Because we effectively only have 8 hairstyles, and among those only a few see a lot of use so at a glance we look same-y even though the 4 faces are pretty distinct if you have a closer look. But the same goes for all races wearing the more popular hairstyles really.

Agreed on everything else though, the character creator could really use an update. Au Ra and Viera have such nice eyes while the others can look like painted marbles in a doll head. Or cleaning up the skin/lip textures on others.. Some skins look straight up dirty and splotchy, and the lips are cracked and dry but glossy at the same time?

Most races have this problem where it's not necessarily choosing the popular face because it's good, but because the other options are just generally bad for whatever reason. I mean, how often do you see a dadlander that doesn't use face #4?

That said, the default characters can also be....deceiving. I remember when ShB benchmark came out and some people were like eww Viera face #4 is hideous! gross! and like....no...? face #4 is gorgeous

My face hurts reading this...kidding but I feel it's not Midlanders faces it's just ff 14s customization in general. You can really feel it since it hasn't changed since ARR you can pull off some really pretty stuff in this game but you are quite limited.

Since we're talking about faces though idk I like face 3? I think is the one I'm using I just like it the most idk why but I do, I feel like if I use face 5 it's too common and the eyes freak me out and face 1 the makeup and face is plain. Then that leaves us with #2 and #4 that just come off as bizarre, either way it's up to you how you wanna make toons all about the power of possibilities.

Edit: also I like running with toast in my mouth and yeah I checked I'm using face 3 I never see anyone with it tbh.

Frankly the character creator as a whole needs help. Au Ra faces are really hard to work with, especially when you don't get to mix-match horns with them. A lot of them either the chin is too small or the cheeks are too round, so it's really easy to get a chubby cutesy girlish face and fairly difficult to get what I'd consider a mature face without looking angry or spaced out.

Highlander Hyur? Idk what it is, but they almost seem low res compared to other races. Their lips look dry and cracked in every shape on every face, and I couldn't find a nose shape I didn't dislike.

The creator is actually pretty darn limited looking at it now, and comparing to some other games I've played, and after going back and forth on Viera enough times I'm starting to realize it's just hard to find a look I'm happy enough to stick with with on ANY race. Fem Miqo and Viera are the only ones I've stuck with for longer than a few months at a time. Viera might hold the record and might go longer if they ever actually get more options for hair and hats :/

Eh. I haven’t seen a clone of myself out there and people steering clear from hyur just means my character is more unique.

It’s a bit odd that hyur are being criticized when 90% of all au ra and viera use the exact same face and both races are more prevalent than hyur are. I think it’s less of a facial option thing and more of a people want to play a fantasy race thing. Ironically that means being a “boring” hyur makes me stick out more in a sea of cat/bunny/lizard girls.
