    Unexpected Error 6d

I've been getting this infamous error for the past two months and I finally narrowed it down to the program causing it. It seems that whenever I open up the game "Dota 2" on Steam before I open up Final Fantasy XIV, this error will pop up. This applies even after Dota 2 is closed and the process is killed. However, if I reboot my computer, the error will never appear so long as I never open Dota 2. This means that anytime I want to play Final Fantasy XIV, I need to restart my PC if I opened Dota 2 at anytime previously.

Obviously this bug is very annoying and I would like to avoid rebooting my PC every time I want to launch the game. Opening any other game on Steam (CSGO/TF2 included so it's not some Valve specific bug) doesn't cause this issue. I've also tried playing the game directly from my Explorer directory but that doesn't work either. I've also verified the game cache in both games multiple times and reinstalled them once each. I'm playing FFXIV via Steam on Windows 10. Any further help is appreciated.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

As a part of our countermeasures against cheating, we’ve made it so that the error appears and the game will be unable to run when there are applications or processes, etc. that interfere with memory. There are a variety of applications in Windows, and it is difficult to suggest a specific method of solving the issue because everyone’s personal environment differs greatly, so please try running the game in a simple environment that you’ve confirmed has no applications or processes that interfere with memory.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

So the expectation is that I have to reboot my PC every time in order to play FFXIV? How else am I supposed to run it in a simple environment if even killing the process doesn't get rid of the error? That cannot be the only solution, that's absolutely poor design. Surely there's some way to make the two games avoid interfering with each other.
